Nice purchase ricky. Hit me up if you want me to check the car out for you or if you need help with anything. I hope the car is a 5 speed and if not it's not to big of a pain. I noticed its an SE but is it a super hicas car?
LOL Anti KA-T Shield? WTF Are you talking about? Mark Likes KA-T's and SR's he just has a KA-T right now. BTW, If I remeber correctly, as Ricky and I have talked about this a lot, Ricky's most likely putting an SR in his car anyway. So like yeah, you might want to get your facts straight

Lol no KA vs. SR discussions in this thread. Regardless of what side anyone picks I would own all of you.
For what Ricky's doing an SR will be fine and super reliable. Add a few hundred in bolt ons and turn up the boost and his car will good for 210-220 hp with no issues at all which is more than enough for a car the size of a 240 and it'll be a relatively easy swap requiring no custom parts except for a wiring harness and should he blow it up they're a dime a dozen anymore. Ka's are good for torque but the engines need to be properly tuned for optimum reliability and even at that point you may encounter issues because the motor was never designed to be boosted. Also too many people cut corners on KA-T's by not buying quality parts or not running simple things like oil restrictors or dumb stuff like that. The biggest thing about the KA is that over 7000 Rpms you run the risk of wearing our bearing and throwing rods because the KA's bottom end is fully balance from the factory. SR's on the other hand can rev to 9000 on a stock bottom end with a little bit of head work to prevent valve float. So yeah.... For most people an SR is a better route because you just drop the motor in and add a little fun stuff. If you have the resources and the knowledge then build a KA-T and you'll have massive torque.

Personally I'm going with a non-traditional swap that's why i need that trans. I think my bro asked you about it the other day.

Haha thanks, nothing's set in stone yet because I need to see if I can get this part. Once I get the part the secrets out and then I have to source the engine and trans. Btw, an NA Z32 trans and TT Trans are the same on the exterior right? As far as mounting goes and all that fun crap.

Gotcha, look forward to the secret to come out.
Yes the NA and TT trans are the same on the exterior only difference is on the NA the starter sits lower and on a TT there is a spacer. On the interior the bell housing is larger on the TT for the flywheel. The NA can be Ground out to fit a TT flywheel though.
