You can hide a folder so that the only way to get to it is knowing the direct path.

yes. i use a program called truecrypt.

basically what this program does, is create an encrypted section of the HD. upon creation you tell it how much of the hd you want to encrypt, then you can place whatever you want within there up to the size limit.

i keep forgetting the password though...
