Those first few dogs pictures are amazing. I can't get over how sharp they are. What camera were you using and did you use a tripod?

I'll throw in some pics I took of my golden in the snow about a week or two ago:

Are you talking about my pictures? Lol.

If you are, I shoot with a Canon Rebel XS and a Canon 50mm 1.4 lens and no I wasn't shooting with a tripod.

Both yours and YellowMSP's shots are amazing. My shots never come out that sharp. I'm guessing its the better glass or post processing if your not using an IS lens.

I'm using a 50mm 1.8 & an XTI.....

heres a link to the two actions i use to sharpen my pics. the first one is what i do as soon as i open the pic in PS then do curves then save and thats usually it. after i'm done editing i'll use the second action in this set on that edited full size pic that sharpens, resizes the pic to 900px on the long side, saves the resized pic to a resized folder on my desktop then closes the image. if you download these and use the export resize one then while you have an image open expand the second action and double click "save" so that you can edit which folder you want your resized images saved to. if you dont want it to do that, just delete the "save" and the "close" steps at the end of the action and it will do everything but them. let me know if you guys like it or if it helps your web image sharpness

sharpen actions

I'm really considering buying that 135mm f/2 after seeing those pics and reading all of the amazing reviews on how sharp it is.

I have heard my lens (the 50 1.4), the build quality isn't consistent. Some copies of it are super soft and some are sharp, and some aren't more one than the other. Mine always comes out sharp in good light, I do sharpen a little sometimes but I don't know how to sharpen properly so I usually don't.
