Morning folks. Can't believe it's Friday. Doing taste testing at wedding reception for what we are getting food wise. Sunday going to Wings game. Other than that, trying to finish up that living room, but taking down wallpaper is time consuming.

Jealous of my parents being down in Florida.

Lol... So I started a new position at work, a much more prestigious role in the company. Well, yesterday I am told that my "promotion" raise was $600....



So now I have the job responsibilities of my new position, and my old position, and I make $600... extra a year. The starting salary we offer people in my new department, is almost 10k more than I currently make. When they asked me if I had any questions after they told me, I explained to them that I do 2 jobs for the company, and I know much more about my new position than a few of the others who are making 14k more than me (who just started as well, but from outside the company), so I think asking for base pay is fair. All of a sudden the guy I am talking to starts flipping out, screaming that he doesn't like people who play the victim role. He starts yelling, saying what am I going to do to make the difference in salary?

I was just absolutely blown away that I am already responsible to do the work that 2-3 people usually do, and he asks me what I am going to do to make that money... He was definitely trying to intimidate me.... or just wanted a bj.

Well that's pretty ****ed up. I figured you would have more knowledge than the outside people coming into your company which should really give you a leg up. I would of said something too.

I would have told him when he wants to pay me fairly, to give me a call. Until then, leave and start looking for another job. That's horse **** imo.

thats not a place I would continue to work for. find a new job.

If you have an appointment to show off new products to a company, and decide to sweeten the deal by bringing breakfast treats and goodies make sure they aren't stale.
perfect example of how a sweet gesture can backfire.

I was... but it isn't until 3/20 because I didn't want to go back to Philly. It will be in the Allentown office this time around.

What is the point of paying for rental coverage on my insurance if the rental company never has any of the small cars available and I gotta pay out $5 a day extra myself? Also find it retarded that I had to pay a $150 deposit on it. Didn't have to pay a deposit last time.
