Yes sir.
I checked them both out & decided the extra coin for the S&W was worth it.
I think my wife might want to get another one.

Did you try the polymer Judge? I hear it reduces recoil by like 50%.

Cause someone already either lost it or broke it. Trust me you'll be glad you bought one of these.

I can't take the gun apart easily without it?

Not a money issue, rather I can see myself losing something like that

*edit- now that I think about it, everybody says stripping a 1911 is a pain in the ass compared to polymer framed guns

This isn't like a fullsize 1911. There is a different method to stripping it. Watch some videos of both and you'll see what I mean. I'm not saying it to be a dick, I'm just trying to warn you in advance to how much of a paint in the dick this thing can be to take down. The tool makes it a lot easier and acts as a 3rd hand when breaking it down. Also be careful when pulling the slide catch/stop out. A lot of people leave "beauty marks" on their guns by trying to rush and/or be too aggressive getting it out.

Sorry but unless you've stripped one of these you don't know wtf you're talking about. As I stated already these aren't built like fullsize 1911's. Because of their compact size & alloy frame for weight savings they run a completely different recoil spring and don't use a barrel bushing to retain everything.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz4JTBNTiQc This is a great video that briefly describes the differences but also shows you how to field strip it easily. He uses the supplied Kimber "tool" which is like a paperclip but as I said almost everyone loses/breaks theirs. Brian you even stated your gun didn't come with one which will pose a problem for you until you source a new one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt1uhCiPCAw Here is the video for the tool I linked earlier.

Watch them both and make your decision. Good luck!
