Don't waste your time on that. I say look at an LS swap. I would consider that if my motor were to go on me sometime.

+1 on that. Much more aftermarket support for the ls1s than the explorer shorblock

Explorer blocks are basically Mustang blocks. Same as the LS blocks are very similiar to GM truck blocks.

Jim.... Keep it Ford. The exhaust just sounds so much better than any GM ever will.

Explorer block is aluminum. Shaves about 80lbs from the front end. Plus, it'll be easier to find an explorer that wasn't beat on.

My grandmother passed away yesterday. She was a strong willed, determined person, but she had been sick for quite some time, so it was kind of a blessing but none the less. I was very close to her, she basically raised me. I know everyone she knew, she touched their heart.

Sorry to hear Grimm.

Back to work. Good to know nobody covered for me while I was on vaca. We have a 'customer service' meeting that I'm blowing off. If they really cared someone would of done work while I was gone.

Damn man, sorry to hear. Lost my grandmother a couple years ago. Sometimes I wish she was still around to visit her.

Thanks guys.
In general this weekend sucked, spent all day saturday replacing injector o-rings on my moms jeep, get it back together, fire it up, gas is leaking out by the regulator o ring now. Take it all apart again and replace that o-ring but wasn't able to finish the job because i had to leave my grand mother passing. Put a brisket in the smoker Sunday morning, go back to work on the jeep, getting the last bolt of the fuel rail in i accidentally snap the neck off of the heater control valve (i guess i leaned on it). So I then had to drive all over NJ to get a replacement valve and then back out to get a hose because one was badly worn, get that back together, fire up the car, gas is shooting out between injectors and rail. At this point I'm fed up and gas is all over so I wipe up as much as i can and then go home. (it's now around 2pm) I pull the brisket of the smoker, it was over cooked by about 10 degrees go into my kitchen and hear a squishing sound by the sink. I look under my sink, no leaks, I then look under the dishwasher and there is a puddle of water. I remove the panel to get to the dishwasher and the water inlet valve is leaking water all over the floor. I turn the water off to it, try tightening up everything, turn water on, still leaking. So I turn the water off, remove the part and then get ready to go to home depot. I couldn't find my wallet, i search my house, my car, my work pants, nothing. I text my aunt who's house I was at working on the jeep, they have my wallet. After waiting for them to bring it to me, i head to the depot, they didn't have the replacement part, so I bought a cap for the end of the water line because the shut off valve to the dishwasher is also the cut off for the hot water to the kitchen sink. After capping that (5pm) I made some killer mashed potatoes, sliced some brisket, grabbed a wild turkey and coke, and watched some football.

not looking forward to going back this coming weekend for the third weekend in a row to finish working on my moms jeep.

Hope you guys had better weekends.
