My rental has XM radio... I wish I had that. I think my Cavalier has it built in to the radio but I don't wanna pay for it.

I don't know how I would make it through the morning without Preston & Steve.

im not in the car long enough to enjoy p&s in the morning. at night is where it counts most and most of the djs and their music selection sucks. not only that but theres usually 2 stations playing the same ****ing song at the same time. really? are they that uncreative? it just shows you how lazy they are and it pisses me off to no end

Yeah, I don't listen to the radio at night because they play music that I have heard over and over again. I just put my iPod on shuffle and forget about it if I'm driving in my car.

I got all excited when I saw I could plug my iPod into the USB port in this rental.. and then all of the songs started playing at random, with random 4 letter names like GXLP in random folders. Seems to be no apparent order. Looked it up and apparently you have to buy a $38 cord from Hyundai to make it work with the proper song titles

those names are actually what they are called when they are saved on your ipod. If you ever browse your ipod like a hard drive that what you find.

Everything I keep reading says the 540 can play mp3 cd's. I'll have to explore this further because the first time I tried it, it didn't work.

Ken I actually use a 40gb 2.5" laptop drive in the m3 and it works perfectly. I'd save solid state for high performance desktop computing. Seems wasted in the car accessing mp3's.

yup. i found this out when i would grab music off peoples ipods before they made software to do it, and thats what i would get. when importing them back into my itunes they would rename them back to the right song titles. I found it to be odd as well but i didn't really care. But like you said you have no way of knowing what the songs are before hand. if you have a playlist they should play in order still?
