They expect you to play off the school loan from the money you will be making from your new job AFTER you graduate.

Either way, no excuses. The statement still stands. You would learn a lot more about cars from doing something like that than from replacing leaky radiators and normal maintenance. DO IT!

Yes, you are right. However, its just smart thinking to save money to pay the loan off quicker.

The crap I have done before on cars that fall under regular maintenance require special tools for BMW. Without them, it gets your mind thinking on what you can use in the garage to get the job done.

i know about the 6 month grace period. i'm just saying... it ain't easy finding a job out of college when you've got thousands of other recent grads right out of college looking at the same jobs as you are.

unless you know someone or have professional experience in the field, its tough

fortunately, i never graduated so i didn't have to worry about any of this BS

I am going to try my best to get into a co-op program and keep up a high GPA. I am going for mechanical engineering and my dad works at a refinery so I may have hope there.

Yeah I know. I actually do think that you are someone who knows his way around a car.

But once you introduce boost, you learn a lot more about cars. There is a whole new level of tuning to learn about. How the engine responds to boost, different degrees of timing, different a/f ratios, detonation, octane, etc...etc..etc...
Not to mention that you learn a lot about a electronics and a cars wiring when you attempt build your own megasquirt board and make your car run again from the ground up.

Thats really the next level stuff that teaches you the inner workings of an engine.

My next step is doing a 5-speed swap on the BMW. After that, I will start gathering parts for a turbo setup and megasquirt. I have talked to Jon who has boosted many M50's before, and he said that reading the book for Megasquirt is the key before you attempt to hack the wiring up.

Hahah nice job Michelle!! Dean's List is definitely something to be proud of!!!

I was super proud when I got it a couple of times during my college career. Definitely a lot of hard work... with a sweet reward in the end

It's great haha, the detailing is still going on though, I have this job as a source of income over the winter while the detailing slows down and the hours work PERFECTLY.

Thanks!
It's pretty cool for me to get something like that in the mail because I used to be a high school drop out who thought college was something that I would never do.
