i've tinkered with drupal, it's quite powerful but it's very finicky. I never had much success with it.

i used to love drupal. I was working with it regularly a number of years ago. the markup sucks though. and i hated how the hooks worked.

i used django now, but that is a framework built with python. I used that for nick's site and did the gallery all in it from scratch, including the thumbnail generation and all that jazz. it was fun. I'm looking to redo his site with wordpress though. quicker, cheaper, and more utilities right out the gate.

I haven't bothered to learn any python or ruby yet. I probably should since they're all the rage. If I knew ruby I'd have a lot of work right away. I heard it kind of sucks though for various reasons.

someone will always tell you somethings sucks for whatever reason.

I chose python because I wanted a web framework to give me more control and in that search found django, which requires python. I'm hardly proficient in it. I've since really stopped spending time on that because javascript applications are the big deal now and I'm more proficient in that and my time is better spent there since i can utilize it more often.

I havent really gotten into node.js for server side yet. the most i've done is set up a simple log in with password encryption. I was thinking of building a CMS using node and backbone and presenting a website as an application instead of the usual "document"

but, i don't have the time for all that...

I saw node and it's cool and all but I just can't imagine using javascript on the server side. It just seems crazy to me.

it does well enough. express.js is currently the library to go with. it handles all of the hard work in setting up a server and all that wonderful ****.

its not worth using unless you're trying to do some next level ****, i guess. It's neat to mess with, i wouldnt mind using it for my site, but it's not the right technology for my guessed clients.

something much more practical, hatch back or a small to mid-size SUV I'd even look at some sedans. 4cyl would be great for a car but would prefer an efficient 6 especially for an suv. Would prefer leather interior.

oh, It would be a used, and preferably without financing. I drive 100 miles a day and don't want to have a payment for a car thats worthless in 3 years.

Just curious but has anyone ever done this when shopping for a used car? Do a lease take over on something with a few months remaining, and purchase at the end? Seems like an easy way to save a couple grand. As long as your able to find the car you want of course.

I wouldn't go out of your way to buy a lease return. They are typically beat like rental cars because people know they are giving them back before they start to have issues.

Sounds like you could save some money but wouldn't you have to know of someone turning it in? Might be hard to find the specific car you really watned.
