Me either. I wasn't sure if many would be coming from this area but thought I'd check.

I have plans to go. The deciding factor will be my bank account and whether I have the gas money.

If I don't go, I'll end up at the one the PSULPAC is holding. (Or is at least planning on holding.) http://www.psulpac.org/bulletinboard...php?f=7&t=5263

Because of the nice weather, I'd like to open and invitation for everyone to come to the PSULPAC meeting tonight. With enough people it would be like an ad hoc car show.

7pm BJC parking lot. The metered one. Just look for a bunch of black mullet machines mixed with a few other cars. People will be standing around.

I had my winter tires mounted by the Monroe on N. Atherton. I'm not sure whether to recommend them or not.

They were winter tires (215/55/16) being mounted on a set of rims I had spray painted 2 days before hand. They weren't exactly low profile. He did comment on people coming in and asking him to stretch 35 series tires too small for the rims before and how he hated it. But any ways, either the paint wasn't dry or he wasn't careful and marked the first 2 rims with the thing that mounts the tire to the machine. It was an easy fix with some more spray paint.

He did only charge me $20 though to mount and balance them. I think he pocketed the money himself since it was slow that day. He never did any paperwork or give me a receipt. I just gave him a $20 and left.

So do they charge an arm and leg? Anyone know a place that's just as good but better on a student budget?

Id go to gregs sunoco man

Wrapped 2 sets of wheels for me and my wife

18x11 and 18x12 stretching a 225/40 and 235/40

8 wheels, with a pretty decent stretch mounted AND balanced perfectly with high quality weights for only 80$. treated the rims with care, no scratch's. granted this was the place that got caught trafficing Kilos of blow from, But hey... a deals a deal, and these guys are super legit when it comes to modified cars. both brothers are mega gear heads and are used to the modified scene.

Tried to go on Fri & Sat but they were busy and ended up going on Sun.
Place sucked. As soon as I spoke to Greg, I got a shady vibe from him.
Went inside, asked how much it was to mount 2 tires...told me $30.
Pulled my car in, saw it was a bimmer..."uhh it may cost more."
Then proceeded to tell me he wants $70 to do it.
I figured since I was already there, just do it.
Greg tried to get my tire off my rim for a whole hour (scuffed up my rim a lil but not biggie)...couldn't get the tire off and told me to come back the next day and to leave the car there for a couple hours....seriously man? How long does it take to unmount and mount a pair of tires?

Today, I went to Tiretown. No appointment needed. Showed up at 4:30, was out by 5:10. Costed me $48+tax. They even have the newer Hunter tire mounting and balancing machines. Granted, Tiretown might cost a bit more but with their newer machines and experienced workforce, it was worth it to go there.
