We're "not allowed" to take off this time of year because we're so busy. We can do whatever the eff we want to in the summer because we're so slow lol.

Well, I mean, we can take off, our boss just doesn't want us taking random days off or using up whats left of vacation. We get busy enough through the cold months that it's overwhelming and we can't really afford to compromise deadlines and whatnot. And if we get sick, we're encouraged to stay home if we need to.

But we're repaid in the summer by being able to come and go as we please and our boss gives us extra (off the books) vacation.

trying to get some work done, obviously i haven't gotten **** done today. I shouldn't be allowed to have two computers, my iphone and a TV.

I think i'm getting sick too, oh well. I actually have a friday off for once.

I do IT/R&D for a AV/Software company. We basically integrate medical simulators (The super expensive manikins), along with full video recordings and vital sign recordings, into one peice of not so user friendly software. This way learners can watch the recordings, and see what they did wrong, did right, etc... instead of just verbally being told.
Hopefully will be developing software at some point for them.
