Coolant reroute done Radiator mounted and secured Fan brackets almost done AN-4 oil feed being made AN-10 drain being made Banjos on the turbo for water cooling U-Joints in driveshaft replaced Differential installed moving along... still left ~~~~~~ Wire in new COP setup Finish, route, and secure turbo lines Compression and leakdown tests pre-start Radiator ducting??? Install new belts theres more..

Nothing quite fit right as it should have. And delays. Engine was yanked and taken apart on 7-13-13
Manifold took 4 weeks to coat Main bearings took 3+ months to get from ACL in the size I needed Various gaskets had to be ordered along the way The manifold didn't clear the PS bracket (cut it) and some studs needed to be cut to fit the runners The Intercooler interfered with the crash bar which had to be cut to fit The Radiator interfered with the AC condenser which had to be moved. So did the PS hard-lines While doing the diff we discovered the bad u-joints Moving and ordering valve shims for proper clearance Disadvantages of going with a non pre-made kit from FlyinMiata. The advantages will hopefully outweigh. Roto is leading the revolution. Hooligan. Once the turbo feed lines are made, wiring done, and the brakes are finished, we will be ready to fire it up!

Looking around at tuning options. Already contacted PsiProformance and KPtuning. Anyone else I should know about?? Any experience with megasquirt, more preferably with miatas?

Changed the pipe coming out of the turbo.

Removed the strut bar and bases entirely. Also all the EGR crap is gone, as is the secondary fuel pulsation damper.

Nothing good in the middle. Lots of low suspension stuff, etc. The last 10 pages or so are where the bulk of the build is.

I set up an appt with the tuner for end of March. Hope by then it will be broken in and ready to tune.
First start, warm-up, check fluids, quick drive up and down 413 to seat rings. Check for leaks, drain oil, then 500 miles and another oil change.I need to do 500 miles to get my diff worked in anyway.

It sounds even quieter without the wastegate flapping and the injector leak tapping away. I'm really surprised how quiet it is. I have forged pistons and was under the impression that they're supposed to rattle when engine is cold. Well the rattle I heard before that I thought was the pistons was probably the rod bearing all along. And all probably due to running the Amsoil break-in oil for 500 miles like the bottle said, which was way too long for a first oil change in my opinion. We started the car this time, ran it till the fan cycled twice, gave it some revs, and drained it. Came out super clean.
We used Lithium grease on the metal contact surfaces to cushion everything for first start. Some vaseline too haha. Also got my new catch-can today. It's an ADD W1 CNC machined silver can. Has a breather and closed circuit option (going with breather and PCV delete) and a dipstick to check the level. It also has a spot to put some material to catch the oil on it's way in.
