How do you plan on passing inspection now? fake OBD2? Wish I could take it to an MS guy but its more difficult since I dont feel confident taking it to someone who doesnt know rotaries.

Haven't checked in on this in a while. I can't wait to see the numbers and video of this thing finally running.

I'll have it out at a few meets at least I'm sure. Numbers wise it's nothing too impressive yet. I haven't given it more than 5psi yet, and haven't gone past half throttle, if that as per the tuner's directions. As of now the AFR is around 13 cruising at -10vac, and 11 at 0vac so safe, but more work to be done. Dyno time hopefully this week. The real numbers show with the EFR, hopefully by, but probably not in time for the 7th meet.

Changing out the breakin oil tomorrow, well cut the filter open and see whats inside. Also want to send the first few oil changes for testing. Got almost 250 miles on it now with no issues. Fluids look good, and nothing is smoking or burning. No knocks, etc.

A must have credit to Jeremy's Auto Repair (non vendor) of Levittown. Works out of twisted tuning snd has tons of megasquirt experience. Hes taken lots of time to install the Megasquirt, as well as making tuning corrections which are ongoing. Made me a bracket to mount the squirt too. Next were gonna work on a piece for the lower opening to help guide air to the radiator instead of deflecting off the FMIC and going around being lost.

First oil change went well with the magnetic plug picking up a lot and a little more found in the filter. Dyno on a Dynocom 5000 was 245whp and 233wtq stock turbo 12psi. Cant wait to see if its faster than before :-)

Last year including a bunch of random car shows and driving I was at like 4500mi for the year. The DD helps keep miles off. Also if I swapped in stock ECU for emissions, I'd also have to swap in injectors, and it wouldn't run right with the internals and a stock tune.

I don't care what anyone says, Miatas are fun to drive. You can drive the piss out of them and you do not have to worry about being stranded like another Mazdas that I will not mention

Nothing gay about getting sideways in 5th at 50 trying to go straight haha. Even though it was wet out, I've never had the tail come out so hard in all my years of having the car.

AFR is good at part throttle but leans out at full throttle so more work to do. Good thing I have the knock warning built in to the squirt, immediately let off once I saw it and all was good. Part throttle the AFR is around 11.8-12 while in boost, getting into it it can dip to 11 or 10.5. Full throttle it begins to climb back past 12.5 and that's not going to happen again hahaha

Next orders of business

Turbo: manifold to be done in a week or two, turbo is on hand and will need to build oil and coolant lines and FMIC pipes. Need 8.5mm Magnecor wires too. Inconel studs? Other suggestions?
Cooling: Tossing around a 76mm TrackSpeedEngineering Dual Row Crossflow unit, pretty much guaranteed not to have problems from there
Handling: Racing Beat 1.125mm hollow front sway, stock rear sway, Racing Beat endlinks all around
Brakes: Raybestos Advanced rotors (cheapness), SS Lines, Hawk HPS pads waiting to go on
Maintenance: Need a shorter alternator belt because my tensioner is all the way out and it squeaks.

Also need to buy an engine under-tray and reinstall cause mine has been missing for a while and I'm sure it helps cooling somehow. Depending on finances, this might all get done in one shot with the turbo install, I'd certainly like to get the Radiator in while fabricating pipes so there's no issues with it fitting after the fact.

So far about 350 miles on the motor. Need to add cranking fuel to get cold starts better (if I prime the pump 5-10 times it fires up quick, otherwise cranks forever). Runs great otherwise, fluids are looking great, even MPG is decent now that we tuned the map better. I'll post some tables here later.

Don't take it there. It will chip off too soon and I know several people who've had problems with them.

You need to take White Lightning off with a grinder, I'll be cool.

Were you at todays SCCA event at Warminster AFB? I could have swore I saw your car there today...

I would love to own a Miata, but being 6'4" and about 350lbs, it's not gonna happen without some major modifications haha.
