I looked up the VIN that I found on my oil pan and it links to this car. I'll have to check the block for a VIN to see if it was just the pan or the whole motor that got swapped. I bought the car in 08 so sometime between 2005 and 2008, someone had to replace the original engine with the one from this car. No idea how many miles are on the engine at this point anymore, could be 37,000 if it was swapped in 08 right before I bought the car, or anywhere north of that if it was earlier. My CARFAX and AutoCheck for my actual chassis VIN don't show any kind of record for a big repair.

Not many run this turbo yet, but one guy made 315whp and 251wtq with only 12PSI!!! At 12psi, my stocker was making 220whp and 208wtq. And the crazy part is this EFR will spool quicker than stock.
That said dude doing a 4th gear pull: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W91Co9kexvw&feature=plcp

Miata #2 making 318whp and 291wtq also running a 2004 MSM 6-Speed Trans: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5efl6...0&feature=plcp

Doing a pull: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2atV...5&feature=plcp

And launcing from 2ND GEAR using MS Launch Control: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmH-p...6&feature=plcp

Can I expect to run against this car at the strip when complete? Would love to see how we compare with our lightness and turboness lol

doesnt look good. if you were building a track car and actually needed the additional air flow, that'd be different

While the engine is out of the car I'd like to do two things I've kinda wanted to do for a while.

1. Ditch PS
2. Ditch AC

I understand there are a few ways to lose Power Steering, either looping lines, or rack disassembly as per FM's method. I assume since the rack has to totally come out, an alignment is recomended afterwards, or is there a way to get things to stay put so it's not all messed up? Is one way better than the other?

The bumper cuts are questionable I guess. Eventually I'm sure ill get a thicker radiator too which will probably do more for cooling than the cutouts. And THIS miata is a viper haha
