No, the mis-shift was first. Hahaha (sorry, jess). The last time she said she hit fuel cut. Fuel cut is abrupt as ****, i hate it.

I hit fuel cut everytime I hit boost in my burgandy talon. Maybe once every 10 times it would fly but other then that it fell on it's face and I spilled my soda.

That explains it. I've never hit fuel cut in my car, so I don't know what it's like (6250 rpm or so in my car, but I can't get the tragic to hit that high)

I think your talking about a fual cutting rev limiter... thats nothing like fuel cut. You have to be in a car when it fuel cuts to understand it. It hurts sometimes.

Not the rev limiter... for whatever reason (in my case, boost creep), the car cuts the motor in order to preent engine damage. It's a lot more abrupt than teh rev limiter.

Ahh, but I have no rev limiter except under no load. I might be thinking of either fuel cut or spark cut in my car.

Then again, it's GM engineering, so everythings wacky.

overboost fuel cut i think is what they are talking to. in the WRX its set to 20 or so... if your boost creeps up that high no matter what RPM you are at... fuel cuts and you go from full throttle to feeling like someone is standing on your brakes all of a sudden. me no likey...
