im going through transmissions faster than gas so im trying to take it easy until i get my g25mr installed. traction is the biggest issue really. with slicks i might be able to run a low 12. but honestly the car sucks from a dig.

I can imagine that it would just spin, not much weight up front. More of a highway queen. Low 12's is still impressive for only mid 200hp range, nothing like my mid 500 hp AWD car but its not to great on a highway with large turbo lag. BW does a good job with ET to help that though.

Regardless if he was being funny or not it obviously got on Ethans wrong side, kiss and make up. Welcome to the forum BTW.

Let me know next time your headed to a meet. Id be real curious to check this thing out and maybe get a ride in it. never seen a Festiva that had work done to it, so it intrigues me.

Low 12's is going to be hard to drop down to mid high 10's where I am standing with full interior, donut, and crash beams still in tact. I could get the weight down to 2,600 if I wanted to but I kind of like my interior, a spare tire is always good to keep in case of a flat, and crash cars help me not die when I drive like a dumbass. Lets face it, with that much power I am going to drive like a dumbass at some point. Every 100lbs is 1/10 of a second in a quarter mile so if i did gut it I could pick up another 4/10 in a quarter mile. But for me its not worth it.

i dont buy into that whole 1/10th of a second thing. ive heard it before, but you cant tell me that some 6000lb vehicle running a 10.0 is going to go 9.9 when he lowers the vehicle weight to 5900lbs.

or a motorcycle weighing 400lbs is only going to lose 1/10th of a second when it has a 250lb rider instead of a 150lb rider.

i know these are extreme circumstances, but they are just to prove my point lol. i think it has more to do with how much your power to weight ratio changes, and what percentage of your 1/4 time you are decreasing.....

i will be in the lancaster caravan.

This thread is a great example of why the Cali scene kicks the east coast scenes ass.

can you please change the tail lights and the wheels???? or at least paint the wheels???? cause they dont match the car at all. personally it makes the car look weird (no offence) metallic blue and metallic charcoal grey dont look very nice.

change the wheels, tails, and slam your car and it will look a lot better.

Also on another note, why is everyone requesting for this kid to change his tail lights and wheels?

Last I check he owns the car, we modify our cars the way we want and when someone tells us how to modify our own cars, we get pissed off.

Granted you guys are giving him suggestions for the "right path" or rather the more favored option in today's standards of the "tuner scene" but if you want to give him constructive criticism, you guys/girls should do so in a more friendly manner. Why do I preach these things? Well because its bashing like this, hatred like this which turns out scene into crap on the East Coast, we get looked down upon by other car scenes around the world.

Instead of bashing other members to make their cars better, we should help each other out in a positive way, give each other ADVICE in a GOOD way.
