Pick and choose if you will, regardless there's no need to openly carry a gun at a public charity event, ever hear of leading by example? Hey look, I can too. But wait, there's more!

Give a logical reason to openly carry a gun, especially at this event. Guns are to protect people, show it and use it when needed, but there's certainly no need to have your gat swinging around for the meet to see, I can guarantee it will cause trouble, and personally speaking I won't hesitate to call police if I see someone openly carrying, not because it's the law, but because people should grow a brain cell or 2 and think before they do ****, like I said, time and place for everything.

Yea it's a right and yea maybe you can't get in trouble, but you gotta use your head, time and a place for everything.

edit: **** me, didn't finish reading original post. In that case this is directed to others, not the OP
LOL.

"furreal" dude, i'm actually laughing out loud about your entire post right now. you pretty much just summed up every anti-gun talking point all in one short paragraph.

a time and a place for everything, huh? okay. i guess you're right. the time is ALL THE TIME and the place is EVERYWHERE. period. do i leave the house without my wallet, keys, cell phone, or even shoes? nope, nor do i ever leave the house without my gun. it's just the way it is. why would being around kids matter? lol. aside from the occasional trip to the post office, do i ever actually think about where i'm going and say to myself "nah, that's just not the place to be carrying"? haha no chance in hell.

how do you picture people carrying guns? in your head do you honestly see OCers or CCers twirling their loaded guns around their fingers and shooting wildly in the air? i hope not. do you think any of us carry without holsters plaxico burress style? do you think the guns are going to magically 'sense' the childrens' presence and just start dumping their mags on their own? i hope not, but that's how your idiotic post sounded.

clean... here's a post i think you should read. read the quote inside my post about 10 times. maybe then you'll understand the true mentality of someone who carries a weapon every day.

if you will call the police and report someone for doing something LAWFUL just because you don't agree with it, then you're an ass hole. hop down off your high horse and come back to reality. suck up your insecurities and deal with them in your own head. don't ruin someone elses day just because you're a di*k.

Yea because gun nuts are paranoid about crime happening to them, everywhere, everyday. You guys want to be heroes? Cool. Do it on your time, but if a gun even jokingly gets pointed at me or anyone else, I won't hesitate to knock you out and beat the stupid out of you with your own clip.

Nothing wrong with carrying, but openly carrying...seems like a big "Look at me" sign. Seems like to these people, the fact that they can openly carry is more important than actually protecting themselves, they're as bad as the Illegal Immigrants and "Violent Blacks" they always try to demonize...but that's a discussion for another day.

Funny, I bet all the people who want to OC don't think about how they're going to ruin the atmosphere for majority of the other people there, because fact remains, wrong or right, MAJORITY of people don't want to be somewhere with weapons exposed.

Done here.

I didn't say there was any need to carry at Sonic, did I? But while we're on the topic, exactly when and where would it be okay in your mind to open carry?

As for calling the cops on someone for doing something perfectly legal but you'll bitch when a meet gets broken up, even if you aren't doing something illegal? K.

oh my god. you really are they unintelligent, aren't you? you actually think that people who carry openly or concealed point guns at people jokingly... in public no less?!? man, that must be some fantasy inside your head... all those cowboys shooting into the air and twirling guns... some of them even pointing them at you and laughing! haha. must be some kind of life to live, you must get exhausted being paranoid all the time.

if seeing a gun worn outside the clothing of a person in public really truly bothers you or anyone else that much, then you need to seek mental help, QUICK.

i agree. i would LOVE to wear my M&P outside the waistband in my serpa and just go chill next to a ghey miata and wait for a reaction, but i think i'll just carry IWB and quietly laugh to myself knowing that people like cleanneon hate it so much.

yeah i know. i'm not into the confrontational style of OC anyway. i can't stand the uppity OCers.. the 'nuh-uh!!! see, it says here in the law that i can do it, see?' OC crowd. i jsut OC on occasion because it's a lot more comfortable.

i'd never be that immature, but it would be fun for at least a few minutes.

All I'm saying is majority of people are not comfortable with the idea, I know most people have common sense, but in any group, there's always "that guy" who decides to be an idiot. It's not hard to pull your shirt over your **** just so people at the event can feel calm and like they're at a charity event/car show, not a gun rally. I can personally attest to never seeing a person open carry aside from security, etc.etc. because yea it's your right, but that doesn't mean you have to excersize it that way at any given time. Time and a place for everything. Salute to everyone who wants to carry and make sure the people there are safe, but OCing it will cause more trouble IMO and I'm not alone on this crazy idea.

I don't put down others if they want to OC, but me personally, I think I'd just carry concealed so as to not have to deal with the tardcakes

you wanna know who would make it a scene? you. You already said you'd call the police...you'd be the one making something out of nothing. You're "that guy"

Congratulations alex, you ruined the sonic meet, and it didn't even happen yet.
