Honestly ... Not a bit.
When the car is being drive spiritedly or hard it shifts just as fast as anyone who really jams gears could.
And on the flip side, its nice to be able to ride to work and have some tea in the morning and not have to shift gears, especially in morning rush hour traffic.

Don't knock it til you tried it.
It's not as raw as the C5, which I do miss a bit. However as my only car (with the C5 I had an Acura as a DD) and daily driver... it's worlds better than a C5, way more comfortable and easier to deal with. Faster/Quicker/Better-Handling? not really, but better road manners for sure.

Agreed. Depending on who looks at the car it either looks like a nice 3 series or a pure driving machine. It's nice for it to fly under the radar on most people except for enthusiasts.

btw, I just got pulled over by a snarky state cop the other day because he said my tint was too dark, and I have like 20% on the front. Luckily he just said 'take it off'. bs
*shrug* I haven't been bothered about the tint yet.

Update...
In the first 10 weeks of ownership, I've gone from 44k miles to almost 53k... Been driving it A LOT! Loving every mile.

I've taken some newer pics...

Shows the condition of how clean the interior is...

And am buying some new parts...
CSL V2 bumper was picked up today... How it looks...

How it'll look on the car, sorta - (inner fogs will be removed and the holes will become ducts to cool the brakes)...

Will also be buying a CSL CF Trunk and CSL CF rear diffuser... which both look like this on the car...

color matched kidney grills with black slats...

Black fender grills... which will look like this...

And some LED Angel Eyes from Khoalty... which should look like this...

After that will be some JVT headers (yes headers, because while it is an I6, it uses two 3 port headers), a Rogue Engineering rasp eliminator pipe, and then a custom exhaust the rest of the way back to the tips... And ESS Tuning's SMG and ECU software for some more power... Should be good for about 20-30whp over stock with wicked better response when coupled with the aFe intake elbow and k&n filter.

After all that stuff is received I'll install it and do the maint below, then time for wheels/tires...
Still waiting to hear back from WheelDude.com to see if I can get LC818s from Linea Corse in a high polish finish. If they don't I'll keep rocking the OEM 19s til I figure out what I want to do.

And doing some maintenance...
-Inspection II 60k miles maintenance (includes all new fluids - all of em, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, cabin filter, valve adjustment)
-New Power Steering pump (its making noise but not broken yet - common problem)
-Pass side window regulator (its also making noise and not broken yet - also a common problem)

After the maint... time for coilovers, camber plates, and sway bars.
Stay tuned.

Linea Corse LC818s are going on for the street, pretty set on that.
And I just cannot justify the added expense for the CSL trunk (or front bumper for that matter - to lose foglights) when it adds no performance really.
and to think....

Well I didn't know of the V2 bumper at the time - Which I will say its perfect... It adds a nice look, Keeps the fogs, AND adds a sport for brake ducting - Doesn't get better. And it was from a guy in philly who bought it and never used it so I saved about $150 off new for a new part.

The trunk... well that's a little different. I found out the spoiler part IS functional. And more importantly, when I looked previously I was looking at Vorsteiner's pricing on the CSL Trunk which was over $1200. The Khoalty trunk is 450ish - which is much more reasonable.

So yeah, I changed my mind after finding out more about other options, and both will actually help in performance.

I though bolt-ons and tuning did nothing for these cars unless you do some F/I. I was always under the impression that M cars come pretty much maxed out from the factory air flow wise. Headers exhaust and tune for 30rwhp isn't bad, your almost in LS territory.
