how many miles are on the motor? that 3100 motor is notorious for fuel injectors, intake manifold, cooling probs, etc...just saying good luck if you haven't had those problems yet. Owned (3) 3400 motors before, (just about the same motor), and they are poorly designed.

Yes it is a very bad motor, Most common thing is the intake manifold leak. I havent had any major problems with it yet. Its coming up on 100,000 miles. This is the reason I dont want to do much work to the engine.

Looks good man. I started out with a 1995 GA SE V6 3100, then bought a 1995 GA GT V6 3100, so I'll always have a place for the 92-95 Grand Ams in my heart. If I kept mine, it would've been sporting an RSM supercharger and a small shot by now. The Quad 4 is still a personal fav of mine.
This was my 95 GT, before it was parted out and sold.

working on your own car is fun, it doesn't matter if it's a turbo or painted interior I give credit to those who take the time and effort to add a little something personal to thier cars. Some have big budgets some don't. You gotta work with what you've got! keep up the work, eventually you'll want to get into bigger mods.

As many people have stated, I'm more of a performance person than a "looks" person. My friend's old car club also didn't allow automatics in the first place. There were also an x amout of performance/looks mods necessary to join. Needless to say, my old FC could have beat the hell out of more than half of their cars, but was never accepted. I swore from then on that all that counts is the love for your vehicle and coming together with like-minded people who share that passion.

I used to have a 95 Jetta on Steelies, covered in white V-DUB logos and nothing but a massive 4" BOMZ muffler ;)

I also understand how it is to be strapped for cash - Im a full time student with only minimum wage bull**** jobs here and there, and my divorced parents hardly make enough to pay the bills in the first place. If you share a passion for customizing your car, then welcome aboard bro, because thats all that matters to me

welcome to the forum... and the response here is awesome. you've got a lot of different people here with a lot of different interests, but a whole lot of respect all around. thats really sweet.
its all good to share your opinion in a respectful way... i prefer a more subtle look myself, but like you said everyone has their own thing and thats a good thing or else we'd be on genericarforum.com right now all aiming for the same exact boring thing.

Your 3.4L is a different version, yours is not the same 90* V6 as the grand am, just like the 3800 motor in the camaro is different than the 3800 in the grand prix/bonneville, etc
