Just got a PS3 recently... haven't gone crazy with it but I'm enjoying it. The bit of online play I've done has been seamless.
I cant wait for GT5!

How are the graphics compared on the 2 systems? ive seen numerous comparision pics and in some xbox looks brighter and better and in some PS3 looks more realistic but dark

xbox360...on the ps3 yea u get 120gb or w.e but with everygame u get u have to install some stuff on to it that takes up gb's..and its not like is a fast..it takes like 10-30 min to download. and ps3 is only free for a little longer cause there already talkin bout charging. and okay the ps3 has internet..and y do u need internet on a video game system that is suppose to be used to play video games..if u wanna watch porn use ur computer..lol

I personally would go with xbox if I where you. Sounds like that what all your friends have and if playing online with them is something that you will be doing this should only make this choice that much easier. Yes Xbox has had its problems with the RROD, but it has been corrected but not 100%, but they have increased the warranty an extra year for the RROD. Yes you do pay for online gaming which in turn is better. From what I have heard the players are better on the 360. I have not played the ps3 but from people that have played both say that the 360 online gaming is more challenging. Either way you go your are gonna get great graphics so that shouldnt be a factor. But best of luck to ya no matter what system you get.

GT5 is supposed to have close to 1000 different cars within the year of its release.

yeah i read on some website that GT5 will have a 91 talon awd : D BUT will there be car customization (i read body kits will be possible but, i'm talking engine mods like bigger turbos etc.) i know GT is usually a celebration of the car ,and not a buy it, modify it, make 800hp with a Eclipse kind of game.

Both systems are 120gb and 250gb, and both systems update their games before you play. Game updates are the same size on each system... Not to mention Microsoft and Sony don't release updates for games, its the production company of said game that release the updates.

Since you brought up the hard drive size... A used 60gb hard drive for the Xbox cost as much as a brand new 500gb hard drive for the PS3. You can use notebook 2.5" HD's in the PS3, where as with the Xbox you HAVE to use an Xbox HD which are tremendously overpriced.

As far as the Xbox vs PS3 for the OP, you said you don't play online, so I will assume you wont be playing with your friends who have Xbox anyway... So I would get the PS3 just because its free to play online if you ever are in the mood, its a blue ray player, it has built in wifi and blue tooth, and you don't have to put batteries in the remotes. Its not a ****ty blue ray player either, its rated in the top 5 on the market.

Yup there is. Its less like the old GT's and more like Forza customization. Although they say that they have a ton more options to change than Forza, and even more parts to choose from, but thats just what I have read. I guess we will know for sure closer to the release.

I've played alot of ps3 and xbox and i prefer the 360. But that's just me, I'd get the one with the games you want. And honestly you'll end up wanting which ever one you don't buy. SOOOOO just buy them both.

haha thats what im worried about, but unless i come into some money I'm not buying both. eh maybe ill get a roomate in college with the system i dont buy.

they actually said there was no plans to charge. and if you are going by hdd space its far easier and cheaper to upgrade harddrives on the PS3. i just went to a 500 gig on mine. est cost: around 99 bux
