Exactly. So now when these people try over and over agin to take the easy way and finally realize they have to work for it, they have Tyra telling them "it's ok, just be fat, it's societies fault that you think you should be skinny anyway". So they stay fat, and by default their kids are fat too.

if you have some pudge and are ok with it, that's fine. but when it gets to the point of being a health issue and there's no medical reason for it, i think you should hit the gym. being fit isn't easy and that's why so many people are overweight. the gym sucks. i hate it. but i'm not genetically small, so i have to go. the problem is obese people saying f**k it and feeding their kids whatever they want. that's why america is getting more overweight over time. if you don't want to take care of yourself, fine. but atleast consider the health of your kids.

I had this conversation with a buddy of mine not to long ago. He's a very skinny Asian dude that never exercises and eats crap food (pizza, Wendy's, cheese steaks, drinks nothing but soda, etc) and doesn't understand how anyone can be overweight, he thinks it pathetic.

Its the same as the trust fund baby thinking its pathetic that others are poor and that they should stop complaining, get a job, and work hard to get what he has cause its easy

Not everyone gets what you have, whether it be your metabolism, will to exercise, your mentality, etc.. There's plenty of over weight people that have eaten right, exercise, etc. but don't shed a pound. Then they steady see thin people on TV and know in real life that theirs others looking down on them for being over weight, that girls/guys are less attracted to them, and that there's nothing they can do about it hence the complaining, loss of will power, etc.

You don't have to be fit to be skinny... It's just that an Americans Diet is not what it used to be. Our bodies consume so much more food than they were 10-15 years ago, and on top of that, food just isn't as nutritional as it used to be. Even foods we consider healthy, aren't as nutritional as they were 10-15 years ago. You don't have to work out and "not be lazy and unmotivated" to be skinny, just eat better! That's literally it.. My best friend lost 40lbs over the course of 3 or so months, and all he did was change his diet. It really does work... I don't care what anybody says, unless there is a medical excuse to why somebody is obese, they WILL lose weight if they change there diet. A lot of obese people think if they eat healthier foods they will lose weight, okay well that's half of it, but you have to eat proportionally. God didn't intend for people to eat 5 dollar foot longs as a 1 course meal.

There's always something that you can do about it. It doesn't matter how bad your genetics are. If you want to change your body, it can be done. For some it's harder then for others but it's clear cut. It's all about how badly you want it.

THAT MAKES no sense at all. If someone is overweight and is exercising like they should and eatting healthy, U WILL LOSE WEIGHT (assuming medical conditions and other unordinary things). I am proof of that. Fact is, majority of the people who have tried exercising and eatting right are just lying to you and themselves. I go to the gym everyday and watch people come in, get on a cardio machine, do it for 5 minutes and leave. Congrats, u just accomplished nothing. The best part is after that amazing work out, they walk next door to the pizza place.

It's easier to complain about where you are, then to pick yourself up and fix the problem.

If you dont cook your own food its extremely hard to watch ur calories and lose weight. Alot of fast food out there is so high calorie and fat its not even funny..

I went from 193 to 168 in the last year and it was all about exercising and cutting calories and as soon as i stopped eating so much and started working out... the weight fell right off...

Its really not that hard.... What you eat is half the damn battle.

i always crack up when i see people buying diet pills, or buying some kind of miracle exercise machine.

in 40 years theres going to be a huge medical discovery break through.
scientist are going to discover that diet and exercising is a great way to lose weight!

i remeber when i was in highschool, i ate like ****, and drank a lot of soda. yet, i stayed skinny, and i used to say "it's my super high metabolism and gentics."

then, after i joined the military, i started to balloon up in weight, and kept the same diet i did in highschool.

then it hit me, when i was in highschool, i was doing martial arts 4 times a week for 3 hours, and i worked out at home as well. when i joined the military, i didn't work out at all (just the normal military pt, and i half assed it).

thus, working out made a huge differnce for me. right now, i've had to change my eating habits, cause i'm not working out as much.

so yes, a naturally skinny person can balloon up in weight.

It's not ok to be lazy, plain and simple. It's not ok to accept mediocrity. I can't stand when someone complains about something but can't motivate themselves to change it. I know several people that fit into this category, family members actually and it drives me nuts. If you want to get in shape, stop eating $hit, get your a$$ up off the couch and go the f'in gym. No, you can't just buy a pill. And no, that stupid ball that you saw on tv won't make you lose your gut. If you're not willing to put in the work then you don't want it bad enough, plain and simple. If that's the case, I don't care to hear you complain about it!
Agreed 110%

Everything thinks surgury and pills are the answer these days because it's easy to toss money to a doc and/or swallow a pill. Hard work escapes a lot of Americans these days. Oh and them being fat is always some "disorder" and has nothing to do with their lifestyle and eating habits. I honestly wish doctors would tell people how it is and not make up nonsense just to spare their feelings. The vast majority of overweight people are that way because of their own choices in life, not because of body chemistry or genetics, anyone who says otherwise is either living in denial or on the payroll.

Then they aren't eating as right as they think they are and they aren't exercising as much as they should or maybe not doing it right. I can promise you that if you give me 10 people who have no choice but to listen to me, at least 9 of them will drop weight, no joke, but that is the key......DISCIPLINE and 99% of fat folks don't have it. There is always something can do about it, if they have the energy to whine and complain about being fat, have the energy to going food shopping for junk, have the energy to shove fast food in their mouths...........well, then they have the time and energy to work their asses off and lose weight.

Again, it all boils down to motivation and discipline. Sure there a VERY few people out there who have legit medical issues, but most don't and they just use excuses to continue their slothful ways.
