Another issue that arises is people thinking that if a cutoff is sharp, then it doesn't blind people or that it is done correctly. If you ever look at the light pattern of a true HID projector, you will notice the light pattern cuts off towards the ground towards the left (oncoming traffic). This prevents the light patten being projected onto oncoming traffic thus not blinding. Having a completely straight cutoff is not always a good thing.

I agree. Kinda like this



I am too close to the wall, but you can still kinda see the two seperate step downs of the projector itself. It would be more pronounced if i were another 15 ft away.

I've allways wandered about that. why they have the cut off patern. now seeing it, makes sense.
