and while we're on the subject, how much difference does the LSD make between the 04s and 05s... how much faster can the 05 guys get off the line and how much faster does that make their run?

04 and 05 have the LSD, the 03's did not.

The LSD transformed the wheel spin to wheel hop. I don't think there's much difference till you fix the traction problem with traction bars and/or solid motor mounts.

From what I see on the srt forums there isn't much difference

Just did a quick search. looks like the 04+ were 3 tenths faster to 60, and had the same 1/4 mile times at a higher trap(which doesn't make sense primarily b/c they are listed as 14.2 at 102...)

the '04s and up also had 15 more ponies according to dodge

04-05's come with the stage 1 injectors, not the stage 1 ecu. As for the LSD question, that wasn't offered until 04/05. Honestly, the LSD really doesn't make a difference at all in a straight line, but on the back roads it def helps. I get the one wheel burnout's if I'm taking a corner and on the gas to hard. But without the limited slip, there is less drivetrain loss too. The LSD has nothing to do with wheel hop, I get it in my 03 with dogbone motor mounts 7 coilovers too. Good thing about the 03's is they are cheaper with insurance, when they bumped the hp up in 04 so did the insurance rates, my insurance still thinks the 03 SRT-4 is just a Neon

IMO, the 2003 SRT-4's are the OG's. The rest of these 04/05 guys are posers, to bad they kept producing them and I see em all over the place now.. I was the 2nd SRT-4 owner in Pa, the first guy drove to Florida to get his before they were released everywhere "Florida & California got the SRT-4's first for some reason?"

Maybe some of us can meet up and cruise to Atco or something. I've always wanted to see how my car would do stock against an SRT-4.

what, different tires and a spring on the wga then removing the rear section of the exhaust not stock? It's all still the stock setup, minus the tires and a spring

Haha I don't care. I might have a couple things done to it by the time we were to do it though. I like my automatic mustang. I'm up for a woopin anyways. It would be fun for all of us to get together anyways.

Srt

They can be made very fast, mine should have good traction with the things we have done. Including electronic wheelie bars that I can lower and raise for the street. The car is done, just tuning the standalone and some appearance stuff to go. March it should hit the streets.

Well if you want to go that route then gutting the car would still be stock then . Most people would consider stock as how it rolled of the assembly line.

i agree completely. i remember when i had the only red one in all of philly, and even counting all the others, there was only like 4. back then there was always small meets and the owners were nice when they spotted each other. now i see srt-4's and the kids in them are staring at me like im an asshole for having the same car

edit: as a final thought, at least the 04's and 05's got those *ay silver headlights

edit 2:someone said ray has the fastest in the area.. thats not true. for one, tiny's is faster, unless ray has some secret track results that only a couple people know about(but then that wouldnt make sense). im not knocking ray,.. but hp #'s don't automatically convert to faster times)

x2 i used to go out of my way to say hi to srt owners, now most piss me off.

too many ignorant ricers are buying the used ones for cheap and really ruining the car. like the one kid that changed his oil while he left his car running.

At least the SRT-4s are keeping the ricers away from buying used WRXs.

And how the **** do some people not know how to properly do an oil change?
