Absolutely atrocious. I could cut two different cars in half and weld them together and it would still look better than that tub of ****.

As long as it's AWD.......
If they throw a rear driver into our model line it's gonna suck.
AWD on ALL our cars is one of the few good things we have left as a brand.

lol @ everyone.

Guess no one realizes that its pretty much two halves put together. Thats why no lines line up or anything. It looks like they are really putting the drivetrain through the ringer. To me, that tells me they are focusing on really putting out a solid platform and worry about aesthetics later. The overall look isn't bad and its really set up to be RWD (look how far everything is pushed back, look at the long hood lines).

One of the strong selling points at Subaru is that EVERY model, from the least expensive 5-speed Impreza to decked out Tribecas and STIs are ALL AWD. We're the only manufacturer in the world (as far as I know) that can say that. Adding a 2WD model will take that away as a key selling point for why Subaru is unique in the market.
I know the RWD car would be a blast to drive.
I'd own one if it comes out that way.
I would prefer it if Subaru kept it's lineup uniform.

It literally looks like they slapped 2 cars together, some Soviet **** no joke. The fact that the windows don't line up just makes it look like a trainwreck that they called a car.

Jesus Alex. Unless someone posted another pic in the thread that I missed it's OBVIOUS that it's not the finished product.

GUYS!!!!! this is the rumored finished product...that black Frankenstein is for testing!

I'm still skeptical to the whole AWD issue. Don't get me wrong it would be awesome but I just can't see it working with the proposed bodywork, unless they move to an asymmetrical layout. Although, I'm still not sold on Subies symmetrical awd on a small, lightweight sports car. I just don't think its layout is suited for this car.

I'm gathering you guys have no idea what a mule is.

This is NOT what the car will look like. This is just a test car. As someone said this could be the suspension mule, or the motor mule. Do NOT think for a second this is what it's going to look like.

Remember when Chevy was driving around a Malibu saying its a Volt? That's because it was just a Malibu body, everything else was Volt.

So take a breather guys, it'll be A-OK.

BTW: Last I heard it was going to be RWD, both the Toyota version and the Subie version.

^He means every Subaru model on every trim has awd. Quattro (AWD) is not standard on all Audis, but it is available on every model depending on engine choice.

i still don't understand why people are being so butt hurt about Subaru making a RWD car. They perfected the AWD system on their cars why not trying something different. Imagine a nice Subaru drifting coupe. I like it b/c it would be in direct competition with the Genesis coupe and would force Hyundai to step their game up.
