Alot of it was him not wanting to do early training camp, he said I never thought the door was fully closed. Basically I think the media blew it all out of proportion, and him being flaky was alot to due with him not knowing how his arm would do. He clearly will still be better than alot of qb's in the league so why shouldn't he play. I don't blame him allbof his bitching got him what he wanted 2 years ago, he is a member of the Vikings and didn't have to to the dorm portion of training camp.

Yeah, because he is the only professional athlete to retire from something he loves. The difference is, some people know when to hang it up and focus on other things like spending time with their family and what not. Perhaps he is just a loony toon.

You act like he is old he's 39 he will have plenty quality time with his family and I'm ire he already does. It's not like football is all year. The fact is Brett still probably has what it takes. Big deal he went back and forth about it at 39 why shouldn't he play at 39, he is competative and wants what he set out to get 2 years ago.

And how many regret it alot. I have watched plenty of interveiews where athletes wish they played another year or 2.

Honestly, he can do whatever he wants to, it's not really my business, it's up to him and whatever team wants him. You can't deny that there is clearly some ulterior motives here though. I mean, if he just wanted to keep playing, he wouldn't have stayed in GB. But then he goes to NYJ and has a mediocre (at best) season and now he signs with the Packer's rivals? If it isn't money or revenge and just the love of the sport, he would have never retired in the first place.

So I guess you never followed the story. He wanted to go to the Vikings last year but the packers wouldn't allow it, so it's always been his desireto go to minesota after green bay kinda screwed him.

thats not completely true. when he initially retired and tried to come back they told him that he couldnt start and would be playing backup to Aaron Rogers. He never wanted to leave GB but he had no chioce if he wanted to start.
