does anyone know a website where i can get the gc/koni setup and figure out what spring rates would be best?

The GC tophats replace the OE top mount and fit better with the GC upper spring perch. Just makes for a more snug and OE like install which helps to eliminate some of the issues with mounting coilovers into OE topmounts. Not necessary, but a nice piece to use. You only need 2 for the front struts.

Check out ImportDPSOnline.com, you can find more info on the GC coiloevers and Koni shocks there. Or you could also check out each manufacturer's website (google search). I would buy from Import DPS, they are one of the best places for aftermarket parts in Philly, if not the best. And you can select your vehicle on their website, and it will show you all the parts available for your car. LOTS of options.

I believe I saw GC's range of spring rates on their site. I'm sure Rick @ ImportDPS can help you if he's not too busy too. They have springs w/ the same rates as the OE springs, then incrementally stiffer too.

You will have roughly the same range of height adjustment, btw, I think the top hats also allow you more range of height adjustment w/o losing shock travel. If you are planning on going excessively low then you will likely want camber-correction kits as well.

As far as the Koni warranty, you probably just have to mail in a form after you purchase the shocks. idk, but i'm sure its not too hard. GL!

wrong, the extended top hats allow for extended travel of the strut. Unlike a full bodies coilover, when you go lower on a spring/strut combo you lose travel(most full bodies set-ups are adjustable from the lower mount, rather than the perch.) You really should get extended top hats for all 4 corners if you plan on being that low, although you'll have to make the call between what is actually stopping your travel, the strut body hitting the mount, or the ball joint hitting the sheet metal.

WRONG!!!!!!!! lol. I love how everyone just loves to troll and Pwn in this forum, its not about being helpful, its about sticking it to people and trying to call people on being "wrong"...

Next time read first before you try to PWN DragonFLY.

From my post: "You will have roughly the same range of height adjustment, btw, I think the top hats also allow you more range of height adjustment w/o losing shock travel."

correct, you did say that, however, the top hats are not designed around cleaning up the install, their sole purpose is to provide for a longer travel. In all honest, the best way to go about this is going to be high-end full bodies coilovers(pic) if you want to be that slammed and not destroy struts. However, how have you not gotten tired of being that low. It breaks parts so often. AND, i was correcting the statement about only the fronts being beneficial.

yeah well i dont have my stock strut mounts anymore so i am assuming that i neeed the top hats in order to get rhe gc/koni steup right
yeah idc about being really low im getting the camber kit from buddly club and new lcas and suspension braces.. hopefully that elminates some of the issues i may have.
drangonfly - the only reason i am leaning towards this setup is bc i was told that koni's have a lifetime warranty so i wont have to worry about blowing struts

I noticed that. ImportDPS would also be a good place to buy from. Rick knows his Hondas and he could probably help you decide on spring rates, etc...

should be around $800 for the Koni Shocks + GC coilover system... not sure what else you are pricing or how much the top hats are, but like I said, you only really need top-hats for the front.

Do whatever you want though man, if you're only going to have the car for a short time so that you aren't worried about the life of the shocks or having to replace them, then by all means just go with some cheaper coiloevers. but you get what you pay for in most cases.

There is a GC kit that is compatible with the Koni yellow shocks.>>> says up to 4" of lowering.
http://www.weaksauceparts.com/store/...0&cat=0&page=1

3.5" drop is more than plenty for a street driven integra bro. Your car is dropped 4.5" inches now??

EDIT: Where u lookin man? lol. Here u go:

Ground Control Coilover system + Koni Yellows + GC Top hats for $1015 w/ free shipping!

FYI - for Form & Functions, the Type 1s are height-adjustable only, no dampening adjustabillity. The Type 2s are the nicer ones with dampening adjustabliity, but they are like $900....

and btw i just wanted to say no im only dropped about 3.5 i dunno sometimes for just nice days though or during summer i drop it a little lower i love the way it rides and feels so close to the ground

edit: i just went to that site the weaksuace link u sent but that is the price with only one pair of top hats i unfortunatly am going to need both pairs for front and rear
