I'm serious. But there's a like 10% chance you'll need surgery don't panic. Collarbones almost never require it. Oh the neck pain goes away in a day or 2.

If you get in asap tomorrow, go to the ER, they'll xray you and then take you in and get you fitted for a sling. You'll come back in 4 weeks to see how it is healing. Then you'll come back again in 4 weeks and he'll prolly say your ok, and need to do "Circle exercises" and not do any sports for another 2 weeks or so. Then its all done. All together its a 12 weeker.

Don't keep moving it around anymore until you go to the ER! Prop yourself up on pillows when you sleep. They'll tell you to do that.

most likely not collarbone though. Sounds like a strained or torn pectoral muscle bro. that ish can be crazy painful too.

Collarbone is up around your neck i tink. Would hate to have u go to E-room w/o insurance for a strained muscle.....

PS. our healthcare system BLOWS.

Yeah hope you don't need surgery. My bill was a bit over $20,000 because I needed surgery on my arm when I broke it.

called it! well, almost. haha. knew it probably wasn't a broken bone though, no way you would be typing.

deep bruises are the WORST! you almost wish something was broken so the could do something to fix it, right? Torn shoulder muscle sounds painful too.... no more MMA moves for you for a while killer! ;)

Broke mine, fairly efficiently too. Literally snapped it in half so mine was on the worse side, yet still didn't require surgery. It's a shame I saw this thread too late, as soon as I read that you could lift your arm halfway and shrug, then I knew it wasn't broken. I couldn't do ANYTHING with mine when i broke it. Like, literally, it hurt to move my ****in elbow.

Even if it would have been broken, most hospitals won't rape you on a fracture, because they see it as a necessary fix. They didn't even report my follow up visits and **** to insurance afterwards because it was a fracture.

But pretty much, unless it requires surgery, there's nothing they can do. They put you in a sling, give you happy pills and send you on your way. However, in my case, since it was clearly split in 2 pieces, I had to be in a "Figure 8" shoulder brace to line the 2 pieces somewhat up.

I'v broke both mine. Sucks but theres nothing much u can do after its been set.

15 years on a dirtbike and you'll rack up some nice breaks. I wanna say I'm at around 15+ breaks and around 70-100 stitches.
