why wouldn't it be in the newspaper? other countries show the terrible effects of war on TV and in the newspapers all the time. it shows how disgusting war is and keeps people aware of what's really going on. american "news" is a complete joke. frontmen/women spewing lies and filtered stories that are deemed appropriate for TV. if all of a sudden americans were to be shown the horrors that go on in other countries and even our own, there'd be chaos. people have been so overprotected. that's what's sickening, not a newspaper photo showing reality.

I understand that. Just that I never ever see English media/press with any photographs of dead bodies. I know Puerto Rico Nuevo Dia and I forgot the other one always has in color pics of dead bodies left and right along with their stories.

thats because our media coverage (especially of the iraq war) is controlled by the government.

Hey, this isn't a thread about questioning the legality of this nation's free media. Please discuss your opinions about the Iranian Elections. Thanks.

Our government is watching the elections closely but Ahmahdinejad (sp?) is the choice of the clans/parties and harcore islamist that run the country. As for whether the US is involved with Iran as a whole shouldn't be a question. Our "unbreakable" ties with Israel make the US just as hated as Irael to the Arab counties that want to see the two wiped off the map.

Actually, if you back into news archives you will see that the Mullahs did NOT support the rigged outcome that is. The Shieks also do not support Ahaminejad. But, in the end, Ahaminejad is a powerless leader in a country that is run by the religious sect. Still, Iranian people want their own person to represent them at the table, not some guy who claimed he had won after 40,000,000 votes had allegedly been counted. I think it's time for the international community to boycott the validity of the outcome. The US can not do this alone, as it will then be seen as another "bully" move.

Boycotting will get nothing accomplished imo. He's their leader time to keep dispelling his fanatical views that the holocost didn't happen and Israel is a terrorist regime.
