First coat

This is i think the 3rd coat

This is the 4th coat

Its not the best looking paint, but its gonna be gettin beat up so why bother making it look super nice?

Today I finished painting the roof, and other small things like the trunk and headlight covers.

For the most part I'm happy with the way it turned out, except for the trunk I'm goin to have to sand it down further then what I did. Also along with the roof being semi-gloss black i decide to paint the headlights to match.

top all primed and ready for paint

Starting on the first coat

Finished and outside drying

A little b4 pic

Most of the rear together, I didn't paint the bumper yet bc I'm not 100% sure I'm going with the stock one

Oh yea, sizes are stock body. If you kit then you might want to go larger diameter.

Slappy, I would love to go with like 15x10 rear and 15x9 front but I'm a cheap bastard lol and what ever I find cheap I get, hell how many other ppl are running 14's on there 240's lol

Z31NA, That was my g/f's Z it was totaled about 2-3 months ago and she just sold it about a week ago.

omgjacki, I have no idea on when this thing is gonna be done, Having no job and no money to put into it right now really sucks. I'm hoping on it being done no later then spring.

Haven't been doing much to this project manly due to lack of parts and money, but now that's changed. Picked this up the beginning of the week

89 base coupe got from a shop in NJ with a blown motor, goin to strip it for whatever I'm gonna need not sure what I'm gonna do with the chassis once I'm done, so far it looks to be in decent condition but i haven't really examined it yet.

Started working in the donor car today, and its looking like the shell is gonna be worth nothing more then scrap when I'm done, but everything I need is in usable condition.

Here's pics of the rust i found so far, I haven't gotten a real good look at the frame rails but from what I could see they look like ****

Most of the front disassembled

Test fitting the front panels

yay its starting to look like a car again

Made some progress over the last couple days, the donor is almost completely stripped, started putting some of the smaller stuff on the other car also started to do some welding tonight.

Still need to order the gaskets, timing chain and clutch

Getting everything ready to pull the motor/tranny

Anyone want a cheap boat anchor?

patches set in and ready to be welded

My buddy Tater doing the welding

Not pretty but there's no more hole

Finally got around to updating this.

The parts car has been striped and scraped for sometime now.

The motor is almost completely torn down, just waiting on some parts before taking it all apart, decided todo a stock rebuild on the motor.

wiring is all done and in, after putting one dashboard in I changed my mind and decided to use another one in better condition.

There is still one huge hole in the floor to finish but the welder is temporally out of service.

Well on to some pictures.

The last remaning hole to fix

My little makeshift work area

Not to bad looking for 200K+ miles

Starting to look like a car on the inside again

Yepp thats how many miles my first 240 had(which the motor is from)

Yay for new parts

Ok well after a long time of nothing Mr Driftcrash has made some progress in the last 2 weeks.

Last weekend my buddy finally had some time to come by and finish welding the floor/frame. It took alot longer then we had expected, the hardest part was the floor since we had to remake part of the rocker and pinch weld.

During the week I tried to install the power steering lines only to find that where they hook to the rack stripped out, so after doing some searching on craigslist I found someone local parting out a 240, ended up picking up the rack, a set of teardrop rims and a piggy lip for 60 bucks.

I already had the motor reassembled so this past weekend me and my girl really hauled ass and pretty much finished the car, motor, tranny and rear are in along with the interior being about 95% done (just have to install the heater controls)

The only bad thing is sunday we tried starting it, all it does it crank, we have fuel and spark but wont fire, so I'm stumped on that part.

Well here are some pics

passenger side frame

Drivers side

Floor/Rocker/Pinch weld

As a reminder this was the hole from the inside

Finally in its home

The bumper that the lip came on is beat beyond hell... but I like how it looks

Most of the interior in

And a little parting shot

EDIT: n/m, saw you're rebuilding it. Sure you don't want my block
http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...ee+table+build

I might want that blown engine....I want to build possibly another table out of it. Where do you live and could i possibly have it for free if i pick it up? All i'd want is the block and pistons
