I have the ACT 6 puck on the STI. Clutch was a PITA to drive for the first 3K miles. It grabbed soooo fast and hard, you couldn't drive with it. Clutch makes noise when decelerating. I have about 15K miles on it and it is about shot. I'm sure I contributed some to the life, but my car was never launched with it (seriously, I swear). I just started rolling first then mashed the gas on take-offs, letting the 393whp do its work later.

Summary, I spent a lot of money (about $1K with install) on a 15K mile clutch. I don't know if the more expensive clutches mean more life. Mine was one of the lower-mid range at the time.

The ACT 6 puck/2600lb pressure plate combo on my car was one of the longest lasting clutches I've ever had. Not even sure it was totally worn out when I took it out. Before I bought it most people were saying they don't wear out, lol. I took it out for several reasons but mainly for the fear of it grenading my lightened stock flywheel or destroying my crank because it is not a sprung hub for the DSMs. In terms of cost, the 6 puck was less than half the cost of a street disc and I bought the pressure plate separately.
