^ sure, certain editing programs, crappy ones such as windows movie maker will allow you to do it.

unlike point and shoot cameras, you have to use the viewfinder to set up the shot rather then the rear screen.

Only the higher end camera's have a feature called "live view" where you can use the screen to compose the shot but out XTi can only use the viewfinder to take pics, unfortunately.
