I think it's funny how people glorify Obama and literally worship him like he's going to be some kind of miracle working god. The government itself can't fix the economy, eventhough it sure did contribute to it getting f*cked in the first place. This mess is going to take years, if not a better part of a decade, to get turned around. It's great how some people actually think that it'll all be fixed by the weekend.

Don't hate, i think we could of elected big bird and everyone would be all crazy just the same. The economy is in such a bad shape that everyone is just grasping for some sort of hope. The fact he is black just makes for good press... Think how crazy things would be if Hilary would of been elected. Bottom line black, white , male or female he is the president of the United States. Oh and please don't think they will be handing out chicken and watermelon on the white house lawn...

My approval rating of the citizens of this country is way down. The mistakes were made because the wonderful sheep in this country let it happen. Bush did a lot of good. I remember some financially rewarding times after 9/11. Everyone seems to forget about those years. A lot of folks crashed and burned after living far beyond what their income could support, and now they want to blame G.W. My only hope is that they aren't let down by their new scapegoat.

you are correct there are a couple major things you can learn from the past couple of years (actually any presidential term)
1- good things are overlooked. the bad is always the front page
2- people have poor decision skills, then blame the govt fro wrongdoing.

i'm not sure why anyone would ever settle for an adjustable rate mortgage! Heck i'm not even sure why some car fanatics live with mom and dad then buy expensive cars

I have confidence that Obama is the right man for the job.

Mike, I'm with you! Many people made alot of money during his first 6 years of office. Then the Dems took over the majority....and guess what happened after that?????

Its all about the money to you... some of you guys just don't get it. If the United States is the pivotal aspect of the world economy and the freedom movement, there are certain obligations which should be filled. Not with crazy, large sums of money oversees, but by leading with example. Letting greed run the financial system doesn't work. You can't trust people to be moral, even if they are religious. It's not Obama thats gonna bring change, its the people. Yeah, its what he says every speech, but the man has some actual intellectual spark way beyond anyone on this site making anyones opinion on how he should run the country.

Bush was a dip****. Period.

Attacking Afghanistan after 9/11? Okay. Fine.
Attacking Iraq under the guise of WMDs and terrorism crusades? At least say your going after him for the genocide... that was never mentioned. Ever.
The financial crisis wasn't directly his fault, but there needs to be a ****load of more regulation. Period. Any company above a certain amount should have to account for every cent. Talking to finance profs and majors, they said they saw this coming from a mile away. But no one in this administration had any kind of taste for intellectuals.

I read a few articles in a sociology class about the chastisement of intellect during the bush administration; if you want me to find them I'll see what I can do since I don't have the papers saved anymore. More than half of America is dumb as a brick... ****, they elected Bush... twice.

The things that do bug the hell out of me are the absolutely ****ty ways the administration handled everything. Everything which ever came up, slowing washing away rights. They can do anything they damn well please and just say you made a bomb out of lies and deception and are going to blow away the core structure of democracy.

The DA firings, WMDs, another self perpetuating war, the list keeps going but I won't list them... the war itself is reason enough to hate the administration. "We can't get out now, we are so close to victory!" The U.S. sucks at foreign policy anymore. They had no idea what they were getting into.

I want an Atheist in office.

I will admit that I was never Bush's biggest fan, but I have to say that he wasn't a complete **** up.

He made some big mistakes, but he also did a lot of good.
