I will. I REALLY wanted that Burton but talking to my buddy who's in the military and also snowboards, he's used Burton and Dakine gear before. He said his Burton stuff has always eventually come apart on him (stitching, overall fabric quality, etc.). He has some Dakine gear that's been beat to heck and back and it's still working great!

Word of mouth man... I'll let you know how it turns out!

Oh and I LOVE the deployable rain cover:

I have to same on to and love it fits my D80 just fine and I can carry other crap as well in the top part. The only complain I have is there isnt a lot of room for filters, batteries and other camera gear

I also looked at that one, but ended up with the Burton because it seemed like it had more non-camera related storage space. Since i use this bag as a carry-on, i had to make sure i could cram as much stuff in it as i could.

I have a Lowepro Nature Trekker AW II

I have it filled with capacity, I didn't realize how easy that would be to do. D300 w/ 18-200 lens attached, F5 w/ 24-120 lens attached, 70-300, 12-24, SB-800 flash... all the other little stuff. It weighs 25 pounds completely full, eek. Luckily when I have a body out of it, it isn't bad at all to carry around, I enjoy the exercise!

I had bought a Mini Trekker AW, got it and realized it was horribly small, so ordered the one above. Before I had two bodies I had a Micro Trekker 200... there's a surplus of camera bags laying around my house... hrm..

I currently have the Canon 200EG that i got from GotRice earlier this year. I've since grown out of it and am currently looking for a bigger bag.

A local has a Computrekker AW Plus, but honestly i don't really like them.
I always check out the Kata bag's but can never decide on one. Ive always liked the Tamrac 7 series...

I need it to hold...

2 Gripped bodied
70-200mm 2.8 IS
2 medium-large telephoto lenses
And a few primes

I use a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home.

Never was a fan of "Jack Bauer" style bags, but this thing is super comfortable and extremely well padded. It also allows me to stuff pretty much everything I own in it.. Including a 100-400L, Canon 40D, 28-135, 50mm F/1.4, 10-22, 430ex flash etc..

Not my picture, but here is the inside:

I don't like to leave the lens on the camera, but if I do.. I typically lay it down instead of putting it straight in like it is pictured. All of the pockets are removable and you can configure it anyway you want.

For those of you interested in the Burton pack, here are a few shots of mine. Normally my 40D has a 17-40mm f/4L with the hood reversed, but that is on loan to a friend. Pictured on the 40D is the 50mm f/1.8. The other body is a 20D. Both bodies have grips.

The front of the bag has a laptop compartment for a 15" laptop or whatever else you want to hold. It also has straps for holding a snowboard/skateboard and a tripod carrying system:

One side has a zippered pouch pocket:

The other side has a large mesh water bottle pouch:

The normal shoulder straps on this pack are extremely well padded and make the almost weightless when used in conjunction with the chest strap. You can also use the waist straps which I have folded out of the way for even greater support. The waist straps have two additional smaller pouches on them for keys, chapstick, wallet, memory cards, etc.

You can see in this shot that the back opens up to a normal "photo pack flap" with accessory compartments. Below that is another thick foam pad covering the main gear compartment:

The inside holds a lot of gear. I added a few dividers from my old bag to organize it a bit better as well:

The top of the bag opens up to reveal a pretty large storage compartment with assorted pouches for accessories:

I definitely like that Burton bag too. I think if someone is torn between the Burton and the DAKINE, they will be happy either way.

Yeah... for me, any bag that doesn't speak "CAMERA INSIDE" is one that I like. Those bags look to fit the bill. People are catching on to lowepro and Tamrac... The crumpler is still very borderline as it still looks like a messenger/ currier bag. If it starts to be a problem then I will switch, but for now, I love my crumpler, a bit more expensive, but what's $150 when you carry $3-4k?

Exactly.. I am not even adding up how much $ in gear I carry, especially when my laptop and 1 TB hard drive are in there... blah.

why are you carring a portable HD around? If you need memory, memory cards are dirt cheap (and smaller)

Crumpler bags are the poop though.

I have the Tamrac Expedition 4.
Pretty good bag. I need something bigger though, it's full.

When I go to my place in Jersey I like to bring it as I have most of my photos loaded onto it.

So after using the DAKINE for a little bit now, the only thing I dislike is that my 15" laptop fits in there VERY tightly, though it does fit. I only throw my laptop in mostly when I am traveling. I dunno if I feel safe with it in there during traveling, 'cept as my carry on.

You Burton pack guys, keep me updated how it fairs over time with wear and tear. Do any of you guys with the Burton bags hike or bike?
