What is Whitmore's connection to the Island though?

Dharma is who/what was originally on the island. Whitmore owned them. Then Ben came and killed them all and took over and Whitmore has been trying his best to get the island back in his control ever since but cannot find it.

Daniel didn't age, but it's not the first time we've seen that. Remember when the guy on the island went and visited Locke when Locke was only a child? He never ages either. I think it has to do with them being able to manipulate time.

I think your right jessica. Dharma was there to study time travel and horde the island for Mr Whitmore. Ben discovered a few secrets and killed off Dharma so he could steal the island. Its probably not a bad thing since i dont think Mr Whitmore's intentions for the island are honorable. We do know that he is trying to get the island back and ben is protecting it. Daniel probably helped develop the technology in the past. also Jason is the person that hasnt been aging if IIRC. He is the one who contacted Locke in the past. I'm still not sure why the Island seems to want Locke though. I also want to know what the hell that black smoke monster is.

God i love this show. Pure Genious.

LOST is the sh**!!!!

I love trying to figure out what’s going on. I’d also like to hear some of your concepts of what you think is going on. Here are mine.

The time travel thing I really like!! But I don't think its really travel. With the show I look at it as if everyone from the beginning of time is living right now but just at different frequencies. One of the reasons I like that show Ghost Hunters so much because one of their concepts is that "ghost" are just people living that we can't see or interact with and you'll get a "haunting" when there’s slight evidence that something's there (say when the correct frequencies are tuned in slightly you can se or communicate with someone slightly like they do). The ghost hunters also feel as if water, magnetized rock, and quarts I think it is are breading grounds for activity.

I look at it as the LOST Island is a sort of gateway or exception to the rule of what’s normal on the main land (obviously) and that all the frequencies can easily be tuned in to make everyone from different "times" present. The big white flashes I think is the energy being released to create the necessary frequencies for the occurrence to happen. (Remember having to type the #’s every 108 minutes?) Doing so held back or minimized the effects of the frequencies so that what’s happening now didn’t. The white flashes are like a full blown warp’s into someone else presence more or less and not "time travel". With charlotte and some of the other people I think the frequencies are messing up their mind system because after all the brain run’s on electricity. It would be like how you can mess up a radio by holding a magnet to it. I know of course I don't fully understand the real science behind what I'm talking about here and this is just my thoughts of what’s going on with this LOST sh** hehe!

I think with the Island moving is that it’s not necessarily geographically moving and that its just more of a smoke and mirrors concept "magic" in so many words. Like the same way a magician can make a bridge disappear you know?

Locke = Man In Black = Smoke Monster
Sayid = Jacob?
2 Realities: 1) Locke and crew at the statue as well as Losties and Others at Temple; 2) Losties in reality where the hatch was never created

-Locke = man in black = smoke monster I 100% agree

-Sayid = Jacob I also 90% agree hence why Jacob went to hurly to bring sayid to the temple and why Jacob felt no need to fight back with ben knowing he can just come back.

As for them being back on the plane in lax AND on the island still I think their realities were split into dimensions w/ the explosion. Check out video's on youtube explaining super string theory or M theory. Many scientists (wacko or not) believe we live in dimensions and you could very well be leading a completely different life as you but not be aware of it. Them having Jack running into Desmond I thought was a nice touch. Jack recognized him but could prob. prove that in that "dimension" that they never met, but in another they did.

Well as for Desmond...They could very well have met even if the Hatch never existed. If you remember a few seasons back, Jack ran into Desmond at some stadium and they talked (before Desmond went on his boat). Even on the Island Jack doesn't remember running into Des.

Forgot about that, I guess maybe no matter where you are your drawn towards the same people. W/ string theory they believe in multiple dimensions, maybe that episode represented a third. I also remember an episode when someone ran into Charlie and thought he looked familiar but Charlie didn't recognize them back (I forget who it was).
