Hill at Agile told me that they had broken a couple on the TD04 when I was there with a friend. He won't push the stocker past 20PSI for the efficiency thing and breaking them. At least that is what I remember hearing when I was there about a year ago. We were talking about someone tuning their car for something insane like 25-27 PSI on the stocker.

well do you think that id be able to then bump the boost to around 16, get downpipe, and then have it tooned and id be fine? because i might have a new job so ill be able to do this stuff soon ,so i want to try and figure out exactly what i'm going to do.

tomorrow morning the guys insurance companys sending an agent out to give me an estimate and then i can take it to get fixed and if they find anything else while fixing it they just need to let his insurance agent know and it'll be covered also.. so the cars getting fixed with NO money out of my pocket, thank god!

Get perrin EL headers and uppipe, and a downpipe, some type of intake. Then get a good tune. u should have plenty of fun with that, and with a full exhaust ur car will sound sooooooooo nasty. And also i give a bump for the Cobb Accesport V2, it is a sweet peice of kit to have.

His car got hit so all his planning stopped until he hears from insurance.

Don't do too much. Or else you will have a headache. An STi is a much better car with handling upgrades. I have a WRX, I learned it the hard way. You don't need headers, or an uppipe for that matter. Good luck with getting your car fixed.

well i got ahold of his insurance and they are fixing the car completely, so once its fixed i will be starting to do some work to it, like i said before i dont really wanna do a lot and i know some ppl had said i could bump the boost up some. so my question is, would i be able to just bump up the boost to like 16 or 17psi, get the down pipe, and then get it tuned? that way im not really changing anything on the car except for the exhaust, and also i then wouldnt be doing a whole lot to it with just that.

on the factory downpipe i wasn't able to get more then 15psi out and that wasn't for very long so im just running 13psi (very conservative though) most stage 2 will run around 18psi but thats only down low its gonna taper quick our poor lil td04's run out of steam so quick

So, Also a newb to the suby's, I ordered a TBE, Silicon i/c hoses and an accessport. Should I get it dyno tuned with the accessport or just use the stage 2 base maps? Whats the difference in whp between the 2?

AP is lame since its been on the market for so long and so are the OTS maps are crap.
Get a OpenSource reflash/tune from Ray or another tuner.

The car wont really respond to much mods w the TD04, replacing that is worth saving for. Then you will most likely blow the tranny, and so on and so on. I have the same car you do and if you really want to mod it you will wish you had an sti like i do.
