Yeahhh lol it wasn't just a tiny section that fell it was half the bathroom ceiling..if I would have been in there my little ass would have been crushed.

well my landlord is as chill as can be. He doesn't bother us at all and since he had nightmare tenants before us, we can pretty much do anything we want and we'll still be better than his last.

yeah but seriously u need that fix, but the main question.. hows much is ur rent? is it fair? expensive? cheap? free? lol (then u cant complain)

800 a month...but my apartment is basically as big as a one story house.

i live in the northeast, pay $500.00 (not including utilies). 1bed room, 2 stories (basement aswell), back yard, drive way.. n a great lanlord. i think its time to for u move..

yeah I would start looking. you can probably find something just as close if not only a little farther. Cheaper but a little farther evens itself out. You can't live like that. It'll cost you more money to go after him than it will to move. Just look over your contract/lease/whatever its called and see what your terms are for moving. that way if you can get any of your money back (security deposit) then good.

me, i live with my dad still because im in school... i pay rent out of respect. it works out pretty good.

My landlord is my girlfriends Mom. LOL So that certainly has it's pros and cons. I will say however that I don't have to worry about paying late and any little issue that I can't fix on my own gets fixed instantly.

Very true...I found some very nice apartments in WC but I almost had a heart attack when I saw the prices. I pay for everything myself on a server/model salary and go to school full time...so more than what I pay now is not going to work lol.

I'm sure that does have pros and cons lol...it's nice to not have to worry about being a few days late if you're strapped for cash though.

Let's see...

Pros: 1) Can pay a late and not have to worry about getting hasseled. 2) Rent never goes up. 3) Anything that needs to be fixed gets fixed right away. 4) When things are replaced, they're replaced with top notch ****, ie. sinks, tubs, appliances. 5) She pays all the heating costs. 6) Let's me use the full basement for my stuff (including lots of car parts lol)

Cons: 1) She has a key to my house. 2) If my girlfriend and I break up I'll have to move (I live with my girlfriend). 3) Her mom has a key to my house (no need to say more about that). 4) A little anal about painting rooms (but I'm working on her about that

So overall I guess it works in my favor.

First of all you went 1) 2) 2) 3) 4) 5) lol but anyway...
I wish I could pay whenever and I have to pay my heat. I do have a nice storage area below my apartment..it's really grimy but it fits a lot of s**t. That does suck that you'd have to move out if you and your girl breakup though. Hopefully you two are pretty stable. And yeah, I wouldn't want anyone having a key to my apartment but me lol.

ps: i agree with taking pics of the damages and keeping as much evidence as possible in the event that something should happen... whether you get hurt, or your stuff gets ruined

i pay 1200 for 3 bedroom place. ocean city and this whole area is expensive. my last place was 1400, it gets tough. my landlord is an NJ assemblyman. never met him
