i wouldn't say i'm shy around people i don't "know".

i'm certainly more reserved around people i don't know well or don't trust. I prefer to hang around people I'm instantly comfortable with.

i don't inherently trust people i just meet, though i usually give them the benefit of the doubt...

now, if i'm out with friends and just generally in public, i'm my usually fun self... even if there is a new person in the group.
