if you were going thru insurance I would say get the IX front end w/o a doubt. since its coming out of your pocket though its probably cheaper to just have the damage repaired, isn't it. did you get an estimate?

the other way to look at it is that, since you're gong to spend the $$ anyway, might as well spend a little more and get what you want. I've never been a fan of ANY of the aftermarket bumper for evo's, I think OEM looks best.

I replaced my VIII front end with the IX bumper and SE Lip and love the look.

yea im leaning that way

what did you replace besides the bumper cover and mesh. is it a direct bolt on or am i going to need random stuff like rad support or stuff like that

if you have an 03-04 EVO like me the IC sprayer will need to be retrofitted to the new bumper, not hard but its another step. other then that it fits with the front rebar and it can be a direct bolt but, it will cost close to 1100 for EVERYTHING including screens, clips, badge, underpanels and all the other misc stuff from the vendors on evom.

i wouldn't go that route though. if you want a deal i would recommend you talk to russell @ mitsubishiparts.net, tell him I referred you and he'll hook you up with an unbeatable price.

I would keep the stock 8 bumper and get a Ralliart lip. It looks nice

I'm a minute late on this, but keep that bumper! Experiment and cut that nose piece out like we discussed at Friendly's like two months ago. You know you're still hurting to do it, man.

DO THE VIII BUMPER MOD. shave the triangle off the VIII bumper to make it look like the IX. thats the sexiest combo by far! and then get a CF lip

thanks for the offer but mine isnt damange except for the paint. found a evo9 bumper but it had the holes from a license plate bracket and canards so i think it might not be worth it considering the body shop would have to fill the holes.

as for shaving the bumper, no bodyshop will atempt it and i dont have the time/ability to give it a shot

I think 18x10 Advan RG's in gold.

I also like 18x9.5 +22 ce28n or te37 and if I were to do that on your car they'd be white or mag blue with blue lugnuts.
