Those two have almost gained a name around the area like one of the powerhouses like a Domino's or Papa John's in the pizza region. Personally if you look the small time family run pizza/italian shops are always the best.

Locally I always go to this one small time pizza shop and they by far have the best food across the board.

Best cheesesteaks I've ever had were at a place in the 'burbs of philly... Mama's Pizzeria in Cynwyd, PA.

My roommate, Kevin, introduced me to the place; we met in school while we were getting our degrees in Culinary Arts, so that might say something.

Great place... you can almost feel your arteries clogging...

Its funny to see Philly cheesesteaks in other states. I was in Illinois and a restaurant had one on the menu and my friend decided to try it. They gave him a regular steak on a roll. We almost pissed ourselves from laughing so hard. They could of at least used some steakums.

Oh yea Steve's is great, love the steaks there love how the wiz is just dripping out, makes me want one right now actually. Tony Lukes are great also, only been there a few times you just have to watch what time you get there. Anything thing around noon good luck, you'll be waiting for little bit. I have yet to drive down to Pat's or Geno's and see what the hype is about, maybe one week end I'll go down and try them.

During the daytime, the cheesesteaks at John's Pork shack are hands down the BEST!(if you can resist the pork), but they are only open till 3pm or when the rolls run out. After that, abners in university city, tony lukes, or a jims on south street are pretty close. Pats and genos are pretty much crap, but pats is the better of the two.
