Yea, a little elbow grease and you'll be good as new.

Seriously, what hospital did you go to and how long did they make you wait? Do they have you on pain meds?

I went to St. Marys and was there for like 3 hours. the surgen was busy doin a car accident victim, she def had priority over me. the orthopedist said he didnt know if he could handle it and had to do another lady first. they then transfered me to thomas jefferson. I waited about an hour thee while the proper people were called in. in all i waited like 7 hours, it happened at like 9 and i went under at like 4.

nah i dont care ill talk about it, it was a good time. im not all depressed about it or anything. but yeah, the tip was broken into 2 pieces, the bottom bone was in two pieces, and the middle bone was in about 100 pieces. right now i have 4 pins coming out of the finger holding it to length and holding the bones in place connected to this weird metal stretching device. i go back in today at 3:45 for more surgery when they will decide to either put a pin in the center section and fuse it to the tip and bottom bone, meaning ill only be able to move the nuckle. or they may just take it off at the biddle nuckle, or let it go some and see what it does and then have another surgery with the same options in a few days.

Good times! Thanks for the pics.... the gore is the best part. I bet rotten.com would take them too! Did they say what the extent of the nerve damage was going to be, or do they not know yet? In any case, good luck with that and you are handeling it very well! ( no pun intended)

ha ha ha sorry chris. i am on percs, they are my new best friend!!

i dont know the nerve damage, they still arent sure if im goin to keep it. they cut it a bit shorter today and fused it together, so i no longer have movement in it other than where it meets the hand. I think there is some nerve damage but i can still feel things with the tip of it so its not total. the real prob was i severed both arteries in it so it is struggling for blood flow.

oh yeah, the middle bone was in 18 pieces, pretty sweet huh! so i have a meetin with the doc next tuesday. i have to ask him if it is going to be prone to breaking once its healed and fused in place. if it is i think i am going to have it cut off at the middle nuckle. he has 0 chance of gettin me to not go snowboarding so im sure ill break it. id rather my hand look a little retarted rather than have a stupid pinky hinder my ability to be active.
