ex. Rev It Up is probably the most common seller of IPP products. so if i see someone with an IPP hood, i assume they got it from revitup. if they got it on ebay or a swapmeet instead, it does not mean that it is not a product that comes fom rev it up.

i hope ive made my thought process clear, one of the things that always bothered me about this site is you cannot post ANYTHING that might be the least bit negative even if it's a fact(unless its about a handful of specific cars,.. neons, etc )

And as I said if he would have said he definately got it from eBay I would have publically apologized for my actions to you and unlocked the thread. But in this case he did not get it from there and he took offense to your comment bashing his car speficially. He retracted his generalized statement after you provided the facts you did but instead of stopping, you continued.

When the implication of saying it's from eBay which means it's eBay quality when it's obviously not then yes. And when someone gets continually bashed after publically apologizing and re-drawing his statement then, yes. It's all in the rules, there shouldn't be any personal bashing to begin with.

In the beginning it was a good/mature debate. Then it just went ugly. So instead of letting it continue and the personal attacks get worse I locked it. And other member's have agreed with my actions in this thread, but oh well no matter what I am still going to be the "bad person".

as i said before, i dont care if people call srt-4's slow. i DO care if they call srt-4's slow and have no intelligent reason to back it up. i ESPECIALLY care when someone who is ignorant about modding a car(which again is a fact) calls it slow.

i provided nothing but facts, to which his response was "sorry if i offended you", which is not a way to back up an argument. when he showed me beyond a reasonable doubt that he had no clue what he was talking about, i stated another fact, the one that was too taboo for tristatetuners.com

theres no such thing as ebay quality. ebay does not make products. saying something is an ebay product is a way to say it came from ebay, and everyone knows that.

Look, the rules were broken plain and simple. The thread was wayyyy off topic and I kept it open because you asked me to. If you look at posts other mods have locked they were locked for the simple fact of being off topic.
