Can we have a single GT-R thread without a heated debate over how fast it is?

Nissan will let you test drive it if they believe you are serious about buying one. I asked my nissan dealership and they said they would allow a test drive but only under certain circumstances. One scenario I gave them was a father and a son walk into the dealership. The father drove in with an Enzo and said he wanted to buy his son a car and his son said GT-R. He would like a test drive. The dealership said absolutely 100% yes, they would give this person a test drive.

Yeah we're all friends again! YAY! But in all seriousness the GT-R is a sick car, but it costs too much.

I would love to sponsor one for the rally but by the time we get even a hood ready it would be too late to fit on the car before they have to leave for the aka

Oh and every dealer we have talked to so far about the car and driving it before buying. They only ask for a deposit to test drive the car. Then if we do not like it we get the money back. Really no need to roll down in anything special. I know guys with houses that cost 2+ million and the most expensive auto they own is a jeep. drop that deposit and you're golden.

SpEcRv9's got a point. They are all hand built, so they won't all be the same. I don't know about a .8 second difference, but not everyone is going to be the same.

It also depends on how they're calculating it. You should know that track and dyno numbers aren't the same. The one Import Tuner did was on an AWD dyno with a RWD car. Maybe if they would have actually used a 2-wheel dyno they would have gotten better numbers.
Each motor is hand built by ONE person. By running the vin on the gtr they can tell us who built it and everything about that motor. Does that mean two motors will be different? Nope. Each motor and car has to meet specs. Doesn't mean a bad motor can't slip past..but it really shouldn't

P.S. Find us a car

Heh, no motor is alike and each tranny is made for that specific motor so nothing can be swapped, at least that is according to Jeremy Clarkson
