I absolutely agree that custom made probably isn't the right term, but how many times have you as a shop heard someone say they have custom wheels or whatever.

The stickers for the rally are part of participation, they are sponsor stickers that help keep the entry fee down. Some people keep them on for a while afterwards because they like the attention, others take them off immediately; that being said he was still rocking some but they are off by now.

I also agree about the last three points as well, I don't know about your shop in particular but I'm sure you have met people that love to throw money around just to throw it around and then tell everyone how much they spent. I also may not have been around when he said it, but I didn't hear any numbers or even see under the hood on the rally. I knew it was pretty fast and heavily modded but had no idea to what extent.

as for the 0-60, meh who really knows what they actually pull 0-60. He says it spends most of it's time in the garage so it probably only comes out for meets and shows, I would be willing to bet he was told thats what the motor can do with that turbo.

x2. That car noes not run 3.6 0-60. Maybe in theory.... someone needs to punch this kid/owner in the face. Does he really think the fact that he spent $XXXXXX on it = someone is going to pay him $XXXXXX for it.. :D

But what if they encouraged it AND the stickers turn out to be awesome? They COULD POSSIBLY say something like "I love Mike and would turn gay for his tattooed, bmw driving, new york living ass". just saying.

you know he beat the piss out of it. why pay more? buy stock.. mod your self. loose on sale if mods are done. win if your car is stock or break even. both are great.

IDK, it is a well built car IMO, def not something i would do, but he DOES state it was built for 'shows' / competitions. ANd probably would do well.
He does not mention about the trany and clutch ...etc....cause making the car do 3.6 0-60 is hell on an awd trany...and would need a stout trany upgrades....but still not out of reach. Nice engine bay and interior is pretty ....ok. And to be OK for 1000 hp, the SB has to be sleeved (then some), not just CP pistons....!! No way.
The BMW is probably a better street drivng car.

I think its very nicely done. not too crazy and retarded with rockets and dragons coming out of the fenders but still enough to get people's attention at shows

I see this a lot any more. People think the modifications add to the value of a car, when in fact they generally drive the value of a car down. There are exceptions to every run, like rusty drifted to hell 240's selling for more then they are worth in scrap metal (which I still don't understand).

Either way, it doesn't seem like he is in too much of a rush to sell the car since it's been out there for a while.

PhillySVT: Would steer clear of this thing. Like you said, you are better off buying something that you won't need to part out.

I re-read this thread and I remember the guy now who did this. I remember when this car basically stock with some minor mods done at the time and he talked about re-upholstering the interior red at the time. This was like a year and a half ago...
