Only 1 was targeted and the other 1 just parked next to it caught on fire from the blaze. The third was backed into by the EVO. Or at least thats what I put together from that crazy over the pond talk.

He said that some people tried to steal the Evo. When they couldn't get it (lazy bastards) they torched it. This caught the GTI on fire then when the fire in the Evo snapped the e-brake cable and it rolled back into the Audi. Talk about acts of God.

Really sucks for him though. Oh, and parts of europe are pretty populated and the living conditions aren't exactly like they are over here. IE, even if you're wealthy you don't always have a garage etc etc etc

+1 to what he said. I have friends over there, Some are wealthy some aren't. only 1 of them have a garage and thats only because he lives on some serious land. The rest park in a parking spot, or Parallel park because its Mostly Row-Homes there. your lucky to have a Driveway let alone a garage.

One the subject at hand, I feel for that guy. Reminds me of a few weeks ago when i heard what sounded like a shotgun coming from my porch.. it was a car across the street on fire. The Owners Ex Girlfriend torched it. 2 hours later, He torched her car in return. Paybacks a B*tch, but i guess he got his revenge.

I'm sure you wouldn't be saying that if it were you in that position.

*note to pretty much everyone*

Remarks like this are just wrong IMO. If it were anyone on this board that happened to we would be doing the same thing his forums are.. Offering support and helping to catch the jacka** who thought it would be cute to light someones hard earned work and money up because they couldn't steal it.Yeah you may not like his choice in cars, but as a tuner, have a heart and try to understand that the Evo was a Irreplaceable car as it was a rare evo to begin with, and the Audi and 205 are a loss as well. The guy was even helping to load the cars up on the tow truck when he cut himself and had to have an operation to reattach some tendons he sliced in the event. That right there is very admiral and can give most something to look up to.. Yeah, we are on the other side of the pond, and yeah its different cultures, but seriously, The same concept could have happened to any one of you here. Personally, I am thankful it wasn't me. Be thankful you all have your cars still too and some jerkoff p*ssant didn't try to steal your car then set it ablaze because he couldn't get it.

Don't take it personal or hate me because I said something. I am the type that stands up for what is right no matter the cost. As a car enthusiast I feel really bad for this guy knowing the money, blood and sweat he dumped into his cars has been wasted and one of those cars is irreplaceable. Its in my nature to be sickeningly nice sometimes.

i always feel bad for people at first, but for some reason, he must have made someone REALLY upset. a theif isnt just going to light a car on fire they cant steal, whats the point of that?

i bet he owes somebody money, killed someone, or banged someones daughter.

Truthfully, I dont know its not my business, but I do know they are on a whole other level of stealing and cursing over there. So I wouldnt put it past someone to torch it because they cant steal it. I mean if you drive a nice car over there, the young kids out of jealousy will insult you over it, throw things at your as you drive by, etc. Its a whole different level over there.

Maybe, But even still.. that aside, They tried to steal a rare car and torched it causing it to set fire in turn to 2 other cars.. big loss for anyone regardless if they deserved it or not.

And I have been to Jersey before, never ahd that problem, did however nearly have someone i know's car jacked at a light if it werent for some cops sitting there.

I would have tosay both parties.. again its all speculation and I doubt a loan shark is going to torch a rare car after trying to steal it, thats a loss of money for them as well. They rather Torture the person to cough up money Directly or beat the crap out of them. Torching a car they cant steal is of no gain for them, so I somehow don't think money owed was involved.

Ok coming from a Firefighter standpoint and arson investigation I doubt it. Likely it was someone he knew or knows and to cover up the fingerprints, they Torch it. They didn't want to get caught.

my five year old cousin could have told you that torching something covers up finger prints.

Well Good for them .. I was refraining from going that route, but you dragged it out of me. So you asked why toch a car after trying to steal it? theres your answer.I was simply answering your question
