Well, that has its advantages with females as well, but the point I was trying to make was to shy away from DSM.

Edit: The more I think about it, I would shoot for a 2000+ Impreza 2.5RS. Not too terrible on gas, fun to drive, reliable (not as many HG problems as with 98 models), and in your price range (you can find ones with just over 100k for under 9k.)

The only problem is you would need some patience to find one, but worth the wait.
