this thing might be true.

on 78 sunday the troopers were pulling people over in packs. like three cars would go out and pull three cars over all within a hundred yards of each other. saw this at several places.

yeah I believe this is true (I seen so much leo activity this last weekend coming up 76 and 322 towards state college, as I go to school at PSU and was down in Philly area for the weekend)

usually the leos "hunt" at the end of the month to meet their monthly quota for tickets (think of it basically like commission as the more tickets they issue, the more points they receive towards extra money); at the end of the quarter they are even more aggressive (hence being the month of april, they are more out on the prowl)

I had a few saves thanks to my rd (bel v940) so I was lucky (ever since I got caught for speeding twice within a month and never getting speeding or other tickets in my life, I invested in a rd and haven't gotten caught for speeding ever since - mid oct 07 - but i still speed, though not as reckless as I did before)

in my experience, 80 used to be a free for all basically from 81 N/S to dubois/79 N/S. now its about 25 miles cop to cop. theyve been all over 80 the last few times i've driven it. 79 and 279 right around pittsburgh basically from cranberry in have also been a mess. 22 has been ok this year so far, but last summer anywhere west of state college was a nightmare.

At least we don't have to drive on 95 in VA everyday! I used to take 95 all the time comin home from base in NC and ALWAYS saw it cop heavy. They even got me once.

Do they really pull people over for tint here?

I got nailed in VA once too, 77 in 65 I think. Anything over 75 was automatic reckless. My license is actually suspended in VA even though I've never had one there

In NJ tint is illegal and I think PA you can only have up to a certain percentage.

of course there is going to be a ticket frenzy. Monroe County, being my county, just lost a law suit for 3.9 million dollars against a towing company. Its a local **** that going on around here. Anyway, thats why were all getting ****ed. The cops around here is insane lately.

In VA its 81 or faster gets you reckless driving and your car impounded. Lucky me I was pulled over by a nice cop who dropped my speed from 82 to 80 since I was heading back to base.

Can they fail you on the inspection for tint? From what I got on the PennDOT site they can't but you can get a ticket.

^ that is correct. my old civic i had tint on it and i was getting sick of being pulled over so at the inspection place i pulled it off. but yes you can pass inspection but get pulled over for it. i am not sure what it is in pa but i was told by one cop you can't have any on the window. then another cop told me if i can't read my lic through the window then its to dark! so knows whats right and whats wrong!

My buddy got pulled over and the cop said tint is illegal and I've seen people pulled over and they pull out the box on the windows and say that you need 30% of the light in. IDK stupid unexplained laws.
