No, but it is a 3800lb car with ****ty axles and even worse wheel hop. I'm going to assume around 2000$ or so will be needed for 11's depending on the shot.

I love my car, but sometimes it makes things so hard

I would love to know the progress...especially since the baseline was so good.

as for tires... the fenders will rolled in the near future, as for headers and converter will do both at the same tiime because having the trans out makes the header job that much easier (so waiting on funding).. and as for the SHOT (n2o)... NEVER

Yeah I said that too
There are alot of misconceptions from the 80's about nitrous that are still around today. It's to a point now that it's almost dummy proof.
If you want to go 11's that is your easiest route. Otherwise you are looking at heads and cam (well without taking alot of weight out). Problem with N/A and not thinking about a power adder is that a "larger" size cam means lost drivability and poorer gas mileage (although you don't need a GIANT cam to go fast). Hp per dollar nitrous will always win.

Me and a few of my friends have sent 200 shots through our stock LS1s. It can handle a 125 shot reliably. A guy I know in MD puts a 125 through his stock 4l60 with bolts ons and runs 10.80's.

Are you on LS1Tech at all?

If you don't do a shot you're going to have one heckuva time getting there lol, and it'll def cost some $$.

Get the SLP or Kooks headers. All others are inferior!

Just to put this out there , i work at a Performance Shop where we build/tune most of the fastest street and race cars in the country,As for LS series motor knowledge i well... lets say iv forgotten more than most people know... what your saying about the nitrous is absolutely correct, but its still a rout i would like to stay away from.. so far there has only been on bolt on GTO in the country to break 11's (and its a girl.. and she is hot) and it will not be an easy task but i believe it can be done and remain a daily driver.. with a clos to stock cam

Well good luck then. I think too many people give up on a goal like that. I def think you can def do it especially if you have access to a shop and can tweak the car to launch right.
Keep us updated.
