Even without a huge population, the accident rate dropped drastically from what it was before the speed limit was removed. I know that it is different in Germany because getting a drivers license there is no small task.

never will happen...as long as movies like fast and the furious and biker boys come out, there will be idiots everywhere doing it no matter if you put a free drag strip next to their driveway...on their way to work (the racers edge) or johnny trans garage they'll see a civic with a fake mount interfooler and they'll get all veetak retarded and we're back to post #1

EDIT: sorry for picking on hondas...i have a "Twin V-Tek" sticker on my windshield so im a ricer too and no problem admitting it...
