I've paid cash for all my cars except the wrx, got that brand new. Been working since I was 12 if not earlier. I work full time living at home.

There are days when I want to say **** it, sell it and just drive a beater around.

I bought my 2004 WRX brand new when I was 19. It was fully loaded. Financed it and got a 1.9% APR for the life of the loan. No co-signature. I worked for two weeks to make my $2,000 down payment.

Then again thats when I was working in sales for D&B and making more money then a 19-22 year old kid should be making.

Then I lost my job and the car got expensive, so I sold her back in July to some 16 year old kid who gave me a check for $15k out of his account.

Now I drive my Passat with no car payment and to be honest, its a much nicer car. Plus my insurance was cut in half.

I'm 18 and I financed my Evo on my own. I got a rate so low, my mom and the people at the dealership didn't believe me. I work to pay it. No co-signer.

well, I work full time at advance auto, getting ready to start a new full time job paying a lot better, and will still be working at advance also. But the way I've aquired all my cars (92 Ford Escort, 89 240sx hatch, 92 Mustang 5.0, 89 240sx coupe) was that I got the escort for free from my moms bf's mom, which I ran till it died. Then my mom bought me the first 89 for $250, and we put about $1k into it, sold that for $2100, bought the Mustang for $1900, then sold the mustang for $3k and bought this 89, now I'm parting this out to get a 95 240sx.

well i have 3 cars. 1997 bmw 328is, 1997 cadillac seville sts, 1996 subaru legacy wagon awd.

financed the bmw at the age of 18 (21 now) still paying for even thought she sits in the garage on jack stands with no suspension on it. pay insurance on it (900 a year), parents do help me out because i am in school and getting a job in willpo is like finding a needle in a haystack (at least a good job not some **** job) but i do plan on paying them back.

the caddy was given to me becuase my brother ran it offroad and bent just about every front end suspension component on the car, spend about 2.5k (rims/tires, subframe, struts, tie rod, control arm, f/r brakes) to get it back to running shape, has lasted me about 1.5 years and shes on her last leg, that where the suby comes in.

just bought the subaru for 500 cash a week ago, needs a starter and insurance, other than that its a great little car. should be fun in the winter.

I got a bit of money when I turned 18 and I used that as a down payment, and then I just worked my ass off to pay for the rest and insurance. I paid for my beater up front with money from delivering pizzas.

Managed a Gas station making $10 an hour, saved $5000 in 6 months when I was 19, financed the rest. My neighbor who was a car dealer took me to Manhiem Auction where I found my 99 GSX with 14K on her. 6 years later, still got her.

I tell you what, it's only painful the first week or so, and after that, you appreciate your investment!
