Anyone want to bet $100 that the standard CTS-V gets the LS7, NOT the LS9? With an "amg like" option that will give the LS9.

Oh, and I love them. I was considering dumping the minivan (x5) for an LS2 CTS-V, but I might just hold out for a new one and skip over a slightly used 997 turbo that I dream about a couple of years down the road.

Also, to previous comments, isn't the CTS-V compared to the M3? The STS-(V) would be the comparative care to the M5.

It's getting the LSA. It's already been announced. The LSA is derived from the LS9, but there is already outrage due to the hypo-pistons.

And there is no mention of the LS7, so any betting man would be getting 100$ from you.

So it's OFFICIAL that it's getting the LSA? Last I looked around there was no OFFICIAL announcement, just free publicity. Hell, I'll take it either way, I just never heard of an actual answer.

If it's not 100% official, we'll see in less than a year I guess. Not official, I'm still sticking with the LS7.

I already read that, already posted on page 1. Motor trend also says that it's getting the same. Publicity is good. Free publicity and lots of talk is even better.

Wait until it is actually released, and I hope it does get the LSa. I hope they offer the 100,000 mile warranty also. I'll keep mine all stock....of course.

Sherley you can't be serious? You must have missed the thousands of cars debuted and then changed for release to the public.

IT IS OFFICIAL. It was DEBUTED at the NORTH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW.

So you owe 100$. You said you wanted to bet...there's the bet, it's done, developed, and ready to roll. Christ they even SHOWED the ****ing development video on the N Ring! What more proof do you need? Someone from Caddy? Oh they have that too! How about Bob Lutz debuting it at Detroit? That's done as well!

lol, I can't believe you actually don't believe that. You lost the bet, I want the money.

Wait until they are available to the public. Then you can get your money.........wait, no you can't. Proof is the car being sold to the public. Not pre sale jargon. For the 10th time, I HOPE you are right. If not, I don't care either way. I'll still be buying one.

If you need more proof, then I have no idea what to tell you, other than to not make bets you can't back up- b/c this ones over.

http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-...-v-live-shots/

But there you go, there are pictures of the actual car with Bob Lutz, as he talks about what it has and when it'll be in the showroom.

Officially revealed doesn't "always" equal PRODUCTION. Badass IF it is exactly what goes in to production though.

Remember, PRODUCTION of the new CTS-V doesn't start until September.

It's not a matter of hope, I am right, it's been released over and over again and I have shown more than enough evidence. Never has a car company gone back on something like that, this far into production, within recent memory. And if they did, it would kill GM, and they are in no position WHATSOEVER to do that.

The only thing I see them wincing at is the reaction to the hypo-pistons, which absolutely suck for modding.

But it is official.
